Great switch out from my previous bank account . The incentive was deposited promptly plus didn’t have to create a new list for payees . Excellent !

I've recently switched my current everyday banking to First Direct from Virgin Money after numerous doubled up debit transactions, a 4.5 hour call wait followed by a half day trip to a branch to rectify the situation. First Direct seamlessly transferred my direct debits and closed the Virgin account without any more stress. The app and online account feels very secure, I'm notified of every transaction and keeping track of funds and debits just feels simpler.

It all went smoothly. I was worried the my civil service pension won't transfer to the new account. It did along with all my direct debits. I should have done it years ago.

All my direct debits were transferred over without any issues, and my account balance was moved across quickly and accurately.
There were no problems at all throughout the switch, and the incentive from my new bank has already been paid—another big plus. The new banking app is also very user‑friendly, and I’ve been using it regularly with no issues so far.
Overall, I’m very happy with the switch and would definitely recommend the service.

Made a bank switch to First. First class change over, no problems, great communication throughout, no fuss. Very good interest rates 👌, all in all a very good move.

It was an easy transition from my old bank to First Direct. I only had one problem with a payment that had not transferred but when I rang First Direct, they explained that it was because of the sort of payment it was (I think it was a recurring payment). They explained what I needed to do and my problem is now sorted. I was a little worried that I would not receive the payment for transferring to First Direct but I received a text last week to tell me that it had been paid into my account.

I have just switched to First Direct and have to say that I am most impressed with how communicative they are. Customer service seems to be high on their agenda which is a nice change from other banks. My experience is only positive for this bank.

Very prompt responses. Clear and easy to use online banking. The only thing I found a bit annoying were the 3 pop ups after you have logged into be your account that you need to keep clicking on in order to shut them.

Having been a client of Halifax for the past decade, I have become increasingly dissatisfied with the associated costs and the subpar customer experience. Consequently, I made the decision to transfer my account to First Direct, and I am exceedingly pleased with this choice. It is remarkably smooth journey so far.

standards are dropping, they use to be a great bank. We have been with them for a long time, but was stupidly took there credit card. They have no application for it, it is batched in with your banking app, it gives you no information you would expect, transactions take days to show. Generic statements about payments that don't have anything to do with you, doesn't show the interest rates, the only place to see interest rates and payments is on the statement. This is a telephone/Internet bank, you would expect to have this sewn up. Obviously been sitting on the laurels, things have moved on, if they don't want to become obsolete, sort it out.

Great customer service. I had a couple of queries and problems that were dealt with efficiently and professionally by people I was dealing with.

No issues as of yet, fairly new to first direct doing the 7 day switch. Been with the bank about a month or so now and everything seems fine
App is much nicer and easier to navigate than natwests
