Not Worth the Price â A Disappointing Experience with a Winter Parka
Floda Mimic Parka Men â Review
Purchased on 13 September 2025, first worn early November 2025
I purchased a winter parka, the Floda Mimic Parka Men, for £264, reduced by 50% from its original price. Regrettably, the quality has been extremely disappointingâfar below what one would reasonably expect at this price point.
The zip appears to be made from very low-grade materials and ceased functioning properly after only a few weeks of use. More concerningly, during heavy rain, water leaks through the seams to such an extent that the inside of the jacket, particularly around the sides, becomes wet. The parka could not be used effectively over the winter and was unsuitable even to donate to a charity shop.
I find it difficult to understand how this product could be marketed at an original price of £600. Even at the discounted price, I do not feel it represents good value for money. Due to an unseasonably warm period following the purchase, I was unable to assess the product in typical winter conditions within the return window, and therefore missed the opportunity to return it. As a result, I have been left with an item that has proven unsuitable after only a short period of use.
Based on my experience, I would advise others to exercise caution when considering similar products from this brand, particularly winter parkas, as the quality may not meet expectations. The overall positive reviews available online did not prepare me for the product to be of such poor quality.

We understand how frustrating it must be when a product does not work as intended, especially in winter conditions when you need to be able to trust your garment.
Regarding the jacket letting water through, we would like to clarify that the Floda Mimic Parka is designed as an insulating winter jacket and is not completely waterproof. It has a water-repellent treatment for light moisture, but is not intended for heavy or persistent rain. We fully understand that this may be experienced as a disappointment if expectations had been different.
We are grateful that you took the time to raise this, and your feedback is important to us in our continued work with both products and clearer communication.

I recently contacted Haglöfs regarding my Duality AT3 boots. I was missing the interchangeable midsoles and reached out to see if I could purchase them. To my surprise, the customer service team (shoutout to Noel!) offered to send me the spare parts. Itâs rare to see a brand that truly stands by its "repairability" and sustainability claims.
