We book a table for the 24th January a week ago and requested table 30. When we arrived the receptionist said wait here a minute. After about 5 minutes another waitress came over to see us and said there had been some sort of mess up with the booking.We did get confirmation about the booking but we ended up in the bar area. If we wanted that we would have requested that area.
There was also lack of food choices, the salad bar was disappointing too with mostly empty containers. And there was also drinks selections that wasn’t in stock.
The gents toilets hadn’t been inspected since 9:00 in the morning and I believe they are supposed to be checked hourly.
We have been using this restaurant for over 30 and this is the worse experience we ever had.
On a positive note the waitress Sophia couldn’t have been more helpful.

We sent one ribeye steak back . Virtually raw and
uncutable. Not even sure it was ribeye. As for the
fish and chips I had ,dreadful fish dont know what it
was possibly caught from the nearby river Medway
I left most of it. The Chips tasted as though they had
been reheated . Even the bread rolls seemed to be
stale. The young lady serving us was polite and friendly. A nice warm atmosphere. Come on

Harvester Britannia lancing: So first we booked a time slot and due to our schedule we were earlier than expected but the staff were able to accommodate and were very welcoming on our arrival. 👌
After being seated we were greeted by our assigned waitress (Abi) whom was absolutely fantastic taking our orders promptly and serving us drinks almost immediately 👌
We did wait a little while to receive our meals but they were well worth the wait 👌
Just before (Abi) ended her shift she told us that (Rachel) would be attending to us and a little while later rachel introduced herself and told our order for dessert which was absolutely delicious 💯 credit the chefs!
All in all it was a great experience and will be visiting again!

We visited The Bucaneer Fareham this evening and enjoyed a lovely meal with our 50% off voucher.
We were served by Keira this evening who was attentive, cheerful and made visit all the more enjoyable.. well done Keira for excellent customer service.. it was really appreciated

We had our drinks and salad when our food arrived i had another mouthful of salad and i found a piece of rock. Liz immeadialtely put our food down apologised about the piece of rock. Took it away along with my salad bowl and refunded my meal even though i had not asked. These things happen nobody was annoyed its just one of those things. Even though thsnk you liz for the refund even though it was not necessary this has not put us off, we love going to harvester eastlake
Not The Best Today…
Our table was right by the reception desk which meant we were cold as the door was constantly opening allowing in the cold air. Although the food was served hot owing to the cold air it went cold very quickly. My partner had the rump steak and theres no complaint as she enjoyed it but I had a burger which I found dry and tough although hot when served. When the waitress cleared our plates she ask my partner if she wanted anything else and she ordered a floater but I was totally ignored and not given the oppertunity to order a sweet or coffee. It was almost twenty minutes before her floater arrived which by then the waitress had produced the bill, asked if we wanted to tip and taken the payment. Any where else you normally finish your whole meal before having to pay.
In all honesty i have been there before and its normally much better than todays experience

Fantastic service . staff went the extra mile to see my wife’s intolerances were addressed. All the food was spot on. quick hot well prepared food and very affordable……will definitely travel a bit further every time for this.

‘The Bucaneer’ shambles
Booked a table at Fareham ‘The bucaneer’ for the 28th December. Arrived about 9 minutes early. Then waited until after our reservation time before being spoken to by staff. Told table was not ready and we should go to the bar. Over 10 minutes later we were invited to go to table only to find it was one we saw as we walked in and nothing had changed. Order for food and drink was taking quite swiftly. Then long delay waiting for drinks glasses and salad bowls. Salad area was sparse with very little selection and what was there was cross contaminated from other tubs. Mains eventually turned up after long delay. Staff were then keen to remove plates even before we had finished. Dessert and coffee was ordered. Very long wait before the coffee arrived then no desserts. After another 5 minutes or so we asked member of staff to chase up the desserts, she kindly said she would but then proceeded to go over and clean another table. Desserts arrived about 6 minutes after this after staff noticed some of my party were getting quite vocal about the poor service. I appreciate the time of year it would be busier than normal but for a company of this size I would expect better service and attention to detail. We will not attend this one again
Tasteless fish
I have been to the harvester many times before and i was always happy with the service and quality of food and i left 5 star reviews... Until today. I ordered the fish and chips today and even though, i was told by the waitress that the fish is not cod but it is white fish, i thought i would try it. I was wrong, and i should have stuck to my usual dish. The fish wasn't white. it was whitish pinky colour and it was rubbery. I will certainly not order that again.

Food was really nice. Chris served us and was polite and helpful — he recommended a steak when I asked, and it turned out to be a great choice. The salad bar was good, although there was no red dressing available at the time. It was very busy due to New Year’s Eve, so that was understandable. Toilets were clean, there was plenty of parking, and all staff were polite. A small downside was the lack of toothpicks, which would have been helpful, but staff were apologetic. We used the kids eat for £1 code and I love the rewards stamp scheme. Overall, a good experience and great value.

Food was of poor quality and small portions for mains. Basically paying £20 for bowl of tasteless salad and a piece of overcooked chicken breast.
Never again. Will defo return to local pubs that provide a better experience all round. Give Harvester less than a year to improve ease another established co will be history

We went to the harvester in lancing for my daughters birthday. We had a phone call saying they had no toilets but still can do the food. We went as we didn't know if anywhere else had space and didn't want to let down my daughter of her birthday meal. The food was disgusting, cold, like rubber.. There was only a few people waitressing, considering there were a few people there. One lady that was working was lovely & caring. Also seem to be doing most of the work as she kept asking for help. Will not be returning at all. Worst food and experience.

Went for a meal with my family, god i wish i had not, long time befor we were served, very poor , went to salad cartpoor , food over cooked, drinks had to look for some one get a drink, it was not busy but felt we were a nuisance , so sad , bill well over a £150 will we come back hell no.........
