Really happy with the garden room from Johnson’s Leisure ! Dom S and Matt B turned up and just cracked on and got the garden room up in day, and the follow up electrical contractor was equally excellent! The whole experience and package from Johnson’s was excellent!

Great experience and the team were very keen to let us make decisions to n what we needed. As we changed on our minds on colours and decorations the team adjusted everything g and talked us through all our options.
Great experience and would highly recommend. Brilliant.

So far so good. Michelle has been such a brilliant help! Henry came out to access the space and I placed my order today. I am really looking forward to having a lovely additional room at the end of my garden where I can have some peace and quiet and do my crafts away from the house (but close enough to get a coffee). Actually, I may buy coffee making equipment and leave it all down there. In fact no one may ever see me again!

Visited Maidstone showroom this morning as we wanted to work out the best layout and model for a garden office with a £20k budget. All garden buildings were locked and chap in the sales office couldn't be bothered to come out, presumably as it was raining. Looked up from his screen as we arrived and again as we were leaving 10 minutes later. Clearly not interested in showing us around.

In response to Johnson’s comments.
1) I did not agree with Johnson’s view of the fault as the problem of the rotting timbers was not at base level but four timbers above the ground.
I think you will find I said the issue was the summerhouse was not level therefore, when the water gathered between the beams it did not just run back down to the ground but run into the corner hence what caused the issue.

2) I did not say “Johnson’s said tough” I said that is what it felt like when I was discussing the issues at the time.

3) Agree Johnson’s have agreed to 50% now and 50% when a delivery date has been determined but only because I asked.

4) I have never been offered free engineer advice in either occasion. There has always been a cost!

Looking at other reviews I thought I would add my experience of Johnsons and my view of the product bought. I have had the product 7 years now and for the money paid I feel there must be cheaper and better options to create a summerhouse feel in your garden.

My reasons for thinking there are probably better/cheaper options is because I have experienced two instances of the materials rotting and they have been very expensive to replace.

Considering the sales pitch saying how good the quality etc. was I was shocked when four of the main timbers rotted after 4 years. When contacting Johnson’s regarding this I was basically told it was nothing to do with their product but the fact I had decking laid alongside the summerhouse. Personally I feel that was an excuse and after many conversations of getting nowhere I had them replaced by Johnson’s which cost just under £1,000.

Another 3 years later and now the storage door, which is over £700 for a new one, and fascia boards have also rotted and need replacing which again will cost just under £1,300.

My view of these experiences are that Johnson’s basically saying “tough” with no offer of any compromise at all.

Also, they request the full amount upfront even though it will take between 4-8weeks, if not longer, to get the repairs done.

The quotes are not broken down so call and get that breakdown as they charge £200 to take the old materials away which is extortionate.

So in summary not one of our best investments!!

My daughter and I were at Hilliers Garden centre at the weekend looking for some sort of summer house.
We popped into the office and was greeted by Kurt who was just so helpful and polite.
He showed us brochures and explained all about the different types and then took the time to show us around them all.
My daughter and I felt guilty as we had taken so much of his time up, but Kurt was just so approachable, such an lovely guy.
I would highly recommend to friends and family.

Fantastic product and the installation teams for the building itself, electrics and climate control unit were first rate, professional and explained everything clearly. The local Templepatrick office were so helpful all the way through the process. Having done a lot of research on alternatives I’m so glad I went with Johnson’s.

Graeme, Joe, Matt and Troy did an excellent job putting our garden office up. They were helpful, friendly and polite throughout and six months on we remain really pleased with the finished product.

From the first meeting to the when Matt and Dominic left they were absolutely professional, polite and cleared up after the work was finished. Would definitely recommend Johnson’s.

All just great. From the purchasing through to the installation, all went seamlessly. Zac in sales was very helpful and Graeme, Joe and Aiden did a great job of building. Would recommend them highly.

With the ups & downs planing the hole of the garden, Michelle &Henry stepped up to the plate. With all the phone calls made we got there.

We bought our New Pavilion from your Whitstable (Kent) branch and found the service excellent. The team who erected the building worked so hard and the finished product looks excellent.

Dominic and Matt were very friendly and polite. The garden room was built on time and we are really pleased with it.

Megan was a great help, she gave us good advise and was very friendly😊

I've just been messed around from the beginning.
They boast about 2 day installation - mine took 4 days with 3 different builders telling me different things - if ANYTHING about the bloody aftercare of my building.

The builders live in Ashford so they want to rush home without taking the care to explain the next steps. I've read the reviews and thought to myself I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I wish I'd gone elsewhere, and with only 12month warranty I think what's the point of all this agg.

I've had to chase and chase to get some kind of response, 3 weeks later my electrics will be installed after chasing and chasing. 3 weeks later someone is going to take a look at the issues I've raised, but most of the I've sorted myself which I shouldn't do because I've paid 12k for this building.

For basic things like builders not having enough screws to screw in the door frame flush, and the other builders not being left the right tools and materials to complete the job - are you taking the mick?? I refuse to put my own damn screws in, I'm not spending anymore money on this that's your job to fix not mine.

It is ongoing, who knows how long it'll take and I wouldn't be surprised if they turned around and said to me that my warranty isn't valid to get out of everything.

In essence it was an easy decision to chose Johnsons
as their product stood out from others we looked at.
Very substantial in terms of its construction and build quality too. The team at Polhill Garden Centre inc Saul and Cliff plus Vicky and Amy in the main office were always a pleasure to deal with and very helpful, plus a mention also to the construction guys who worked like Trojans to do the job within the 2 day time frame. Very impressed with how it came together as they said it would from ordering to delivery and the actual build, Thank you.
