Thankfully Vodafone still employ…

Thankfully Vodafone still employ HUMANS! I had survived days of disruption whilst upgrading my plan, (£!) router AND mobile! Alexa was suffering withdrawal systems as was I, my Ring security cameras, tv’s and calls. I was even reduced to raising my voice to a robot, demanding to speak to a human in response to: ‘I’m afraid I didn’t catch that’ etc etc! Sleepless nights dreading the ‘inevitable’ loss of data whilst transferring from my -ancient battery -failing -iPhone to the new all singing and dancing 16e!
I was not best pleased to have been provided with the new phone but no means of powering it up as the cable
supplied was not compatible to connect to the house 3 pin plug! More delay, more expense and then a new case and the latterly advised £25 in store transfer cost!
In Worcester I arrived early as advised and sat with Tom. At first I thought he might be a nerd facing a non techie very old failure! A meeting of 2 different worlds!?
However he did recover his empathy and I was delighted because the transfer was completed much earlier than I had expected and he reassured me that nothing would or had been lost and sensing ‘my journey’ had been long he said, smiling, he would not charge me!! 😊 Tom: You ‘done good’ ⚽️!
Relax , there is a life after the days of dread of changing all systems. Also MANY thanks to the humans employed by Vodafone in Egypt, Northern Ireland and South Africa, all were very supportive and helpful whilst explaining a different language!!
Improvements?
Start the contract once the new kit has been received and installed not instantly on sales negotiation ?
Availability of a basic tutorial would have been good as the 16e is totally different to my iPhone 8!
Maybe Apple could/ should have supplied a typical UK three pin plug connection ?

Incredible service

As an older person I have a limited knowledge of phones but I needn’t have worried. Worcester voda phone was represented by a young man called Tom who was the most polite and helpful and put me at ease. This quality of service is so lacking in today’s retail world I left with piece of mind and a new I phone well done Tom

Came in and took a smart phone from a vodafone emplyee named kyle. He was very helpful quick and friendly, transfered my date from my samsung phone. Then helpef me setup home broadband.
