All the time it works, BT Superfast is reasonable value. Have a problem, you are doomed.
Elon can put a rocket into space and get it back, BT/Open Reach could not fix a failed line splitter for two months, one either side of Christmas. Says everything!!
We are still fighting to get the compensation we are contractually owed, and in the meantime, I have put the Starlink unit up and have been getting a solid 70+ GBPM for £35 a month.
The BT solution is toast. :-)
Worst company in the world
Worst company in the world. They lie on bills in my opinion. Weird costs appearing every month. The internet service is useless, do yourself a favour and go with someone else that doesn’t try cheat you out of money
Horrible, moronic company
I’ve been trying to simply move home, and take my BT fibre to a new house which is BT fibre ready.

- [ ] BT app wouldn’t open
- [ ] BT app wouldn’t update
- [ ] BT app once updated wouldn’t open x10
- [ ] Once BT appt was updated it would crash repeatedly
- [ ] BT App tells me to update even when it has been updated
- [ ] BT App tells me to update my phone OS which is up to date
- [ ] BT App crashes when I input pin
- [ ] BT App fails when I scan the qr code on the back of the router
- [ ] BT App freezes on black ‘restart’ login. When I click restart nothing happens
- [ ] when i shut down and restart the BT app, it actually fails
- [ ] on the phone I try to speak to a BT operator, it tells me to hang up and text.
- [ ] when I text it doesn’t respond for ages, then just says it can’t find my account
- [ ] then it provides me with a number to call, but when i call that i get a voice saying ‘you’ve dialled an incorrect number’!
- [ ] On the app if you try to get support, it sends you to a number, that then just hangs up on you and texts you, and starts the whole loop again
- [ ] When you text, as instructed, you get no response for about 15 mins.
- [ ] When BT text back they say ‘we are attempting to locate your contract’… and then 15 minutes later say they can’t find it and ask you to call.
- [ ] It is basically impossible to speak to a human.
- [ ] the BT app shows me no details about my BT contract, yet it shows some things about an unrelated EE mobile account. When I try and click on those details they also fail and give error messages
- [ ] All in all, about 5 hours wasted, on what should have been the simplest thing. Horrible moronic company.

The worst experience i have ever had with an internet provider as of the past 5 days, every day i try to record content and as soon as i hit the record button and launch up a game it peaks to 4k ping. BUT keep in mind i have one of the best packages they provide and it is far from the best. Quite possibly the worst broadband provider of 2026 and eternity. DO NOT GET BT

Avoid these clowns they're thieves, joined them on a social tariff then they offered me TV for £5 for 6months and could cancel anytime, also told there was a note on account saying this, when I phoned to cancel first time they said they can see the note and they would honour it, then received email with final bill £679. Second I phoned time they said they would have to talk to a manager who would call me back, never happened, third time I called and they told they could reduce my bill to £408 and that was final and they wouldn't honour any agreement made

Been in contact with BT but they'll just blame openreach and none will do anything and my operator needs a BT line which is now causing damage. If you can't run a company then why keep it open. Just close the company if you can't do a simple job
Issues sorted quickly
Mum had issues when transferring from Now TV to BT. Eilidh was absolutely amazing! Also heads up to Chris and Laura who were spot on too.

Living in Wellingborough Northamptonshire. I've gave a termination notice within two months. Never received a confirmation email about cancellation. Just get another provider stay away from them

I pay for the international add-on but they obviously don't want me to use it as it keeps cutting me off if I talk too long. I recommend one of the cheapo prepay services instead. BT/EE a huge mess ..
Rip offs for existing customers
I'm trying to discuss leaving BT, as my bill for non superfast broadband is twice what is advertised for superfast. It seems that BT is quite happy to overcharge existing customers for whom thay show very little concern, in the pursuit of new customers. BT, time to "reach out" to many, many customers out there. After almost 40 years as a loyal customer, I'm just about done.

Well we have paid your final bill of £5.31 which you threatened to send to collections. Just letting you know you are the only utility company dealing with my mothers passing that was so keen to receive payment for a value less than £10.
Really BT, you should be ashamed of yourselves. You now have the £5.31 you needed so badly!

Xbox scam...NEVER AGAIN
Got a letter from BT saying my Xbox pass prices are increasing. Problem is..I never subscribed to Xbox, never played it in my life. Then I search my emails and found email from BT from 2024 saying they believe there was fraudulent activity related to Xbox and they'll cancel and refund the service. So today, when I looked in my account and saw I was being charged all these months, I phoned them and they refused to refund me saying they had no evidence it wasn't a genuine subscription to Xbox and that they didnt keep more than 2 years of records so cant see how long ive been charged for.
After reading numerous similar cases and a newspaper article about this, I am convinced BT has other customers in a similar situation.
I made a formal complaint which if unresolved will go to Ombudsman and Small Claims Court, but the fact I need to spend hours of my time on this is simply unforgivable.

No one at BT wants to help sort faults out, they deny you are a business at all when asking for help. No one wants to help or hold their hands up when they do something wrong particularly when it's going to cause a business a lot of issues because of errors BT have made themselves.
Horrendous customer service
Horrendous customer service, all they do is tell you what they think you want to hear then tell you they are not allowed to keep your complaint open until it is resolved but must close it straight away.
3 complaints in so far, first two just got closed down with no one sorting the issue. 3rd one I've just been emailed to say they will close down in 7 days. We're only 4 days after I was meant to get a call to try and resolve this.
Cannot wait to have this whole situation resolved and never have to put up with appalling company again.

BT is going from bad to worse. My phone went dead (again) and I cannot get the Bt site to test the line in order to find the fault. If they cannot fix their website, how can they fix my landline? I pay a fortune in standing charges and get rubbish service in return. shame on you

I've been receiving emails and letters from BT for the last three months telling me to renew my contract.
I'm unable to access it on line and whenever I call I'm told there is "an issue with my account. "
Someone must know something about me since I keep receiving bills!
Come Monday morning 23rd March I won't know if I have phone service, broadband, my home emergency system or what I'll be paying!
I've never known such rubbish service in my life.
