Better than expected
Easy website to navigate. A Scheduled in home delivery was communicated very well and on time with a polite delivery team. My item was packed very well, box was flawless, and item is better than I even expected! I am very happy with it
Great Product!
After we ordered the lamp, we received an email from English Elm explaining the lamp was out of stock and we could cancel or wait for the next shipment to arrive in May. We chose to wait for the lamp to come back into stock as we were looking for this particular style of lamp to replace a similar one that had quit working. We were surprised when we received a notice it had been shipped as it is early March! We received it on the 4th and the lamp was in a cardboard box well packed in styrofoam and is almost identical to the lamp it's replacing. Construction was very good, assembly was easy and the package included 2 lightbulbs for the lamp. We are very pleased with the product!

Very poor / rude customer service- sent links to login to my account and view order status when I emailed asking simple question about eta of my further backordered item.
You can buy all these items at retailers who actually value your business, buy elsewhere.

They contacted me immediately when they found out my area rug was on backorder. They explained what I could do in order to keep my order. The rug was delivered not long after. Love it!!!
You'll never see your money again
In September 2025, I ordered a couch from their website, which appeared to be in stock. Shortly after ordering, I received an email saying the item was NOT in stock and was on back order for 3 months. They said they would hold my order until the item is available, so I was willing to wait because I really wanted this specific couch. After 3 months passed, I got another email saying it's still on back order and would be another 3 months wait. At this point in time, I started looking for other options and ended up finding the couch elsewhere. I requested to cancel the order and get my money back, which they said was possible at any point while it was on back order. They initially responded with a cancellation and claimed to have issued a refund. However, I ran into an issue with receiving my refund via PayPal (the original payment method). As soon I became aware of this, I reached out to them asking if they could help me get a refund another way. Over 4 messages and nearly 2 weeks later, they have refused to respond to any of my messages, and I'm out over $800 now. Neither my bank nor PayPal will help me, as they've both confirmed the only place my money could be is with English Elm, who are refusing to respond to or refund me.
Word of advice: DO NOT order something from them if you ever plan to need your money back. It won't happen.

Excellent Communication!
These were discontinued at the first place where I had bought 6 chairs. I needed 4 more. They were back ordered but I was able to make my purchase and English Elm kept me informed all the way up to delivery to my door a few months later.
A great experience and I will be back to shop again!
Good communication …
It took a really really long time for the item to arrive, but I was impressed that I was informed right away not only thought it was backorder, but that it was backordered everywhere on the Internet. I was given the option to cancel and get my money back. They stayed in communication and were very consistent. When we received our purchase, it was nicer than I expected, excellent quality.

Customer service was great and delivery of my couch was done in a timely manner.
Avoid, something wrong here.
I ordered lamps at the end of January.Several days later I received an email saying they were in the warehouse but it would take 10 days to ship them. That struck me a little bit suspicious since when does it take 10 days to get something from a warehouse and ship it?
Once the 10 days passed I wrote to them and asked for a status update.
they responded to my email and said they would get back to me which they did not.
Finally, after determining there was something decidedly wrong , I canceled the order. They did respond to that right away, and , in an email, said that if the order had shipped (which I had not received notice of) I would be responsible for shipping costs to return the items .
