I had wanted an e-bike for quite a few years. I am almost 60 and wanted something to ride, or assist if I needed it, and to ride for pleasure. I did a lot of research and read reviews. I was skeptical about ordering on line sight unseen, but I was very pleased with the bike. Instructions could have been a little better, but the product is great for the price (and I shopped around)! It is more than snappy, even my family members were surprised. Battery lasts a long time. I would highly recommend it. It's so fun.
It makes you want to go on a bike ride. Company was great.

I bought this ebike for my teenage son to get around town and offer him some freedom. He loves it, I love it, the whole family is so excited about it. I assembled the bike in only a few minutes and was very impressed with the quality of the bike. It was shipped to us promptly. I'm now shopping for my own ebike so we can ride together! There is no way I can keep up with my manual 7x3 mountain bike!

My only complaint is with the instructions. They could be more descriptive.

Journey bikes was great all around but one of the suppliers bikes is not while journey bikes had great customer service there supplier evokes did not. Ordered 2 bikes for 2000.00 dollars and both had several spots of paint damage for which they send a small bottle of touch up paint, this is fine if it’s a spot but both fenders were badly scratched do to poor and careless packaging. 1 rim had two colors of paint damage and only received to paint for one color but even that wasn’t going to fix the paint would have been horrible looking. Fact is 2000.00 for a couple bikes and they couldn’t handle it properly.

Nice a easy to deal with and delivery is fast this is my second time ordering from you. Will order again in the near future.

Journey helped me find my perfect bike. I love that the ecotric is so sleek and pretty and gets me up San Francisco’s crazy hills. It doesn’t even look like it has a battery! People are surprised when I zoom by them on steep hills with my kiddo on the back. I would definitely order from journey bikes again. Their customer service and instructions are fantastic.

You shop around for a bike that is going to take care of your transport needs while you save up for a car. You live on a hill and see and electric bike that offers “hill assist” as advertised. You ride the bike for a month and it starts having issues. You think this is normal because you’ve never owned an e-bike, but your confident you can handle it.

You reach out to support and they tell you parts are back ordered after needing new brake levers after almost being almost hit by a Prius. You finally recieve the new brake levers, but your brake button has been chewed up by trying to ride in a broken lever that is back ordered but you still need to get around. You then have even more intermittent power issues to the point that you are riding at about 25 miles per hour when suddenly your throttle dies and you flip over your bike, scrape it up and damage your screen as wel as recieve get a hand scrape that takes you out for a month for healing. You’ve been waiting for “support” to get a new controller in. Your hand is pretty messed up from the fall you took from a defective product you purchased that does not work as advertised or intended. You inquire about a refund or having them send another bike and they said you are past the return policy. You are told basically to eat crow and they will work on fixing the issue. So you’re out a bike and mode of transport for ANOTHER 2 weeks. The controller finally arrives. You’re excited to install because you e spent so much money in a bike, you’re hoping this fixes the issue to get back on the road. You notice the old controller had 3 wires fused together at their connection. Obvious poor craftsmanship. You finish up pairing the connections and your bike is up and running again…..

For a week.

You’re riding on a decline, so your motor is t engaged. You’re confident now that you’ve replaced the part the support has sent out. All of a sudden you feel a hard vibration, a loud whining noise, whirring and all of a sudden your pedal assist is not longer worker and you have to make it back up your hill on a heavy ass bike with no power that’s supposed to be hill assisted for this exact purpose. You have to push your bike home because riding it on hills without hill assist sucks.

You reach out to support and they inform you the hill assist is only intended for very minimal travel up a 15grade road.

That was not advertised.

I was under the impression I was receiving a quality item that was going to serve my purpose, but I now see once I’m outside of my warranty, I’m screwed if anything ELSE goes wrong with this bike.

Your website said about 30miles of range on a single battery charge.

I ride 3 miles to my gym and 3 miles back.

That’s 6 miles.

My last half mile is about a 20 grade road, so you’d think it would handle within the normal parameters but it doesn’t.

I’m upset because of the process of the warranty.

If a bike has this many problems in your first three months, replace the thing as a courtesy to a customer who has spent $1000 on an inferior product because you guys want to make as much as you can.

Your controller is basically your own pvc board. Kinda reminds me of a pi board. I’m assuming you guys coded yourself. So there’s no telling how much your “software” is worth. The gram is heavy, not an aluminum frame it appears, so the only thing I can see justifying the $2,000 original price tag would be the engine and the aluminum rims. I would say those are probably the best parts of the bike, but my ducks motor is is out and your guys are wanting to replace individual parts until it’s fixed.

With the shipping delays and lack of parts as well as how this bike is not working as intended is why you get a 1 star.

I would be happy to remove this review if your customer support would do a better job in ensuring I’m back on The road.

I will be seeking legal advice into the matter.

I would love to settle this matter out of court.

Easy to install. And it meet all of my needs.

I love my e bike from journey bike, the speed is perfect and it’s just so good! One thing about it is that you can’t have people on the rack because it can cause a flat tire (i’m saying that from personal experience) overall this bike gets 4 out of 5 stars!!

Great e-bike, smooth ride, good power, pedal assist, comfortable all at a reasonable price.

Ordered our 1st bike after months of continued delay excuses we cancelled the order.Ordered a 2nd bike that was in stock it came in on time and easy to put together.1st bike I was told they had and was ready ...really bad taste in my mouth.

Our daughter loves the bike, but the max pedal speed is MUCH slower than we expected. I can coast on my bike faster than she can pedal at the max speed on the Journey Bike.

I did some research and finally picked out an e-bike. I ordered in April and did not receive it until July. I ordered it knowing there would be a delay. Customer service was very good about answering my e-mails and updating me. It was definitely worth the wait and I am very pleased with my bike and Journey Bikes!!
