MetroFax and MyFax are completely unreliable and unprofessional.
My accounts were abruptly closed without proper notice because the card on file had expired. When I finally reached a live agent after two days of trying, the representative (Euliz R) informed me that both accounts were closed and all fax history permanently deleted — with no warning and no opportunity to make payment.
I sent several emails yesterday and no response. Elise stated via chat that the accounts were closed today 12/23/25. I save the transcript.
I asked him to simply reactivate the account so I could update payment and restore service, but instead he closed the chat on me three separate times without resolving anything. His behavior was rude, dismissive, and unacceptable.
There is no phone support, no escalation option, and no accountability. For a company that handles sensitive business communications, deleting customer records and cutting off access like this is reckless and damaging.
I do not recommend MetroFax or MyFax to any business. If you rely on fax records for medical, legal, or financial purposes, look elsewhere.

I had a great professional customer service rep by the name of Chris I. He answered all of my questions quickly and was able to figure my issues. It is nice to have good service rep take care of me in just a few minutes.

It was a little difficult to get in touch with them, the website gives a phone number customer support line but then it says to go to the website. After I finally got to the proper chat it was a simple fix, my account was reactivated with the same number and I’m able to use my account again. The only downside was that when my account was deactivated I didn’t know and when I figured it out, I did get my number back but lost all the data that was there and was still charged for the month it was deactivated. I feel if you are going to charge me then you should still have my past faxes.

Most of the positive reviews are definitely fake! Run!!! I’ve been trying to cancel my membership for years. I’ve heard this same story from multiple people. I canceled online and thought it was all taken care of then noticed months later that they were still billing my card. I tried to go online to cancel but they’d canceled my login and I wasn’t able to even reset my password. The account was deleted but they’re still billing me. I tried calling to No avail then went to the chat to request cancellation. They said they’d cancel then a year later still billing me. If you use this company you’ll have to constantly deny charges on your credit card. Be vigilant!

They’ve been charging my account for a year and a half under my nose, had no idea. When I called customer service this foreigner answered and asked for my routing and my account number. When they said this is there verification process and I said no I’m not giving out personal information… they cursed me out and hung up on me.

We have not used Metrofax in over a year. We have never been able to cancel our account. I've spent hours on the phone, calling Metrofax and their parent company Consensus Could Solutions, not 1 person has contacted me. Stay away from this company.

Well yet again empty promises they got my money and could careless and now I had to cancel my credit card AGAIN because they refuse to stop taking money from me! They owe me close to $100 for what? NOTHING! I will make sure they get horrible reviews and make sure that nobody will be taken like me I still will attempt to get my money back. I want to requote what they said to me so they read it too..."We apologize for all the issues that you had to communicate with us for cancelling your account. We will work with you to get all the issues resolved" Well I wrote them at the email they gave. All I got was crickets so Metrofax, you need to respond to my emails or I will continue to write bad reviews everywhere of how I was took for $100 and YOU could careless.

I have used them for over 10 years. Started with efax then J2 the metrofax and it has been working realizably. At the $4/month rate it was perfect for the now rare fax I get. The past 5 years the only one who faxed me was my father, because that's all he can handle.
Then my credit card was compromised and the bank issued another. Because I forgot to update them my service was cancelled. Fair enough. When I tried to login my account was locked. Now there's no way to restore the service and no one will respond to emails and I even tried to reach their parent company (Consensus Cloud Solutions Inc) and there's no one home there either. The only reason I wanted to go back to was so I can keep my local number which is on my stationary. Too bad. Ill have to my business elsewhere. Any suggestions?

Chat support was great. I had an issue with billing and the guy at chat support helped me fix it. I have been with this company since 2020 and so far it is going well.

service cancelled. (second time) VERY long time customer. NO NOTICE of need to renew. LOST all faxes. This was the second time such has happened.
Otherwise, a good service but there is something dubious and "oh wells" don't do it.

Chris was the third Customer Service Representative that I spoke with today alone. He was able to do what none of the others could do. Still took some fancy footwork on our part, but he go tit done. Thank you Chris!

I signed up and added my credit card in. I created the account but no account was actually created!
Therefor they are taking money out monthly and I cant even access the account to cancel the membership. I have emailed them and no response.

The chat keeps closing on me even after I answer all the questions. My faxes fail to send. I know the number is correct. Either that or I get a system error notice but I can get any answers.

I'd had MetroFax since April 2018. Paid yearly. Hadn't used it in years, so cancelled on line 8/27/24 4:02 PM Central time. Thankfully I kept the printout of the On line cancelation. This morning, my credit card was charged $79.50 for another year subscription. Again, unable to contact a live person about this matter, so I have disputed the charge with my credit card company. What a ripoff. How many people continue to get billed and don't pay attention?
