Beautiful Quality, Fast Delivery, but U.S. Buyers Should Note Import Fees
I recently purchased a leather bag and a few accessories from Muud, and the quality genuinely exceeded my expectations. The leather is beautifully crafted, sturdy, and looks even better in person than online. Everything arrived quickly, well-packaged, and at a very reasonable price point for the craftsmanship.
The website does state that duties are not covered for U.S. shipments, which I was aware of. However, I was unexpectedly charged an import fee of ~52% of my purchase price due to current tariffs. That was a significant surprise, and U.S. buyers should definitely be aware that these fees can be steep.
Even with the additional cost, I’m pleased with the items and would probably purchase from Muud again because the quality is truly excellent. But I do think it’s important for other American customers to know what they might be charged on arrival so they can make an informed decision.

At the same time, we’re sorry to hear that you were faced with such a high import fee. Unfortunately, duties and import charges are not something we’re able to control or predict. The rates are set by the local customs authorities and can vary greatly from country to country — and they also change over time. For that reason, we’re not able to provide an exact estimate of what a customer might be charged in advance.
If you would like a better idea of the possible costs, we recommend contacting your local customs office, as they can advise you based on the current rules and rates.

LOVE MUUD but hate their shipping costs
I love purchasing from MUUD.
This is my 4th item and I love the quality, the colour and the creativity that you can see throughout the products. They cater to all my needs for my art tools and accessories.
The one negative point, which I did email MUUD regarding, is the cost of shipping. The fact we are both EU countries, postage should not cost more than the item, I am purchasing. There are so many secure shipping companies available, at a fraction of the cost and in this stage of on line shopping, expensive shipping could force customers to re-think a purchase.
