DO NOT BUY A NEW MERCEDES

Bought a brand new GLC Premium Plus. 1 week delay in delivery as the drivers headlight was broken. Collected the car and passenger headlight
looked likeit was on full beam but drivers normal.
The app said the bonnet was open and it was not. The drivers seat preset would not hold the presets from day 1 but we thought it was us not knowing what to do.
After 13 days the drivers seat controller broke completely while the seat was fully wound back making the car undrivable
We were told 8 weeks for replacement part. No suitable courtesy car was offered. Been waiting for a refund for 20 days, no one has called us, the emails keep saying we can take up to 5 days to get back to you, its been 20 days.
They do not care
Do not buy a new Mercedes, the cars are rubbish, the customer care is non existant and they do not have parts. They expect you to wait 8 weeks for a part with a car that cannot be driven and will not offer any help.
Worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. 1 star is too generous

CAR DANGEROUS

We collected a car for a 4 day rental and it was filthy. We could not see out of the windows and the washers were empty. When my wife drove off the sun came thruogh the winscreen and she could not see a thing. She tried the washers and they had no water making the vision much worse. This was really dangerous

The car was not checked before it was released.

On return after just 40 miles they said there was a screw in the tyre. The screw head had nearly disintegrated and the rubber around it was completely perished. It was obvious it had been there for many months. They said we would only be charged for a puncture repair but treated themselves to a new tyre
Kris the assistant manager said "When it comes to tire-related incidents, our standard procedure is to opt for tire replacement over attempting puncture repairs. This decision is rooted in our dedication to quality control and the safety of our customers. Repairing punctures, while a common practice, poses potential risks. We prioritize the longevity and reliability of our vehicles, and replacing tires ensures this"

Its actually an offense to rent out a car with dirty windows and an inoperative washer system but they didn't mind doing that! It seems saftey is only a priority when they can get new tyres instead of a simple puncture repair which is leagal and will pass an MOT

Under the Road Traffic Act 1988 and the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986, a vehicle must be supplied in a roadworthy condition. This includes ensuring that:

The driver has an adequate and unobstructed view of the road; and
The windscreen washer system is operational so that visibility can be maintained at all times.

They obviously like to pick and choose which safety elements they want to abide by and are still insisting that the car was checked before it left.

I have my Ring doorbell showing that half hour after we picked the car up I am cleaning the windows and filling the washer fluid.

We were charged £680 for the 4 days and a brand new tyre BARGAIN!

If you value your safety do not rent a car from Enterprise

Obstructive processes, poor communication, no resolution

We have been a long-standing Checkatrade client, but service has declined significantly in recent years.

It took weeks of chasing to get basic pricing information that should have been sent after a renewal call.

Emails bounce back and instructions are ignored unless you sit in long call queues or use WhatsApp (which is not a professional way to handle business accounts).

Written authorisation to proceed was refused — we were told only verbal consent on a recorded line would be accepted, which is obstructive and unnecessary.

Packages run on contracts that extend beyond membership renewal, effectively locking you into renewing membership just to benefit from something you’ve already paid for. When delays are caused by Checkatrade, this feels unfair.

Repeated complaints were met with dismissive replies and no meaningful resolution offered.

Checkatrade should make it easier for clients to communicate in writing, honour commitments made on calls, and align packages fairly with membership terms.
Unless these issues are resolved, we will not be renewing and cannot recommend Checkatrade to other businesses.

DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING UNTIL YOU ARE 100% SURE YOUR BUSINESS FITS THEIR RIDGID BOX SYSTEM

We signed up for this after a brief video call and a few phone calls and thought that with a company this size they would be able to handle any problems integrating our business into their system but soon found out that Simpro is a ridged box that your business has to fit into.
The whole system runs on purchase orders means that you have to have a serial number and exact price for every nut bolt and washer you use. You also need to add price lists to the system and when you use Screwfix, Amazon and Ebay this becomes impossible as their prices change every week which means you have to keep going in to update the prices. We had 1/2 a day trying to implement our business into their system and quickly found it it would not work. They even said it dont work for all businesses so we thought that they would be reasonable cancelling the contract. It cost us over £5k to exit the contract.

I would not recommend this system or company to anyone, very disappointed with the system and the way we were charged. They did not look to see if it would work for us before signing us up and took £5k for what was basically a few hours work

It only lasted 2 years

I bought a top of the range Tempur mattress less than 3 years ago for around £2,500 and started having problems about 6 months ago. The bed moulds to your body and creates a hole which after time stays there. The mattress does pop back up but you roll back into the hole as soon as you get back on it. We have been told that the 10 year warranty does not cover this as it is wear and tear. I thought that a 10 year warranty would mean the mattress would last 10 years but it only lasted 2 which made it very expensive We have just had to buy another mattress and would never buy a Tempur mattress again

Best fan I have ever had

I bought one of these last year and it was so good I have just bought 2 more. It is silent enough to go next to my bed and powerful enough to keep me cool training in my Summerhouse gym (and its remote control!)

Took nearly 2 weeks to go online after…

Took nearly 2 weeks to go online after being told 48hrs
Problems with the website cancelling viewing
Problems with the App
No support from my agent
Ignored texts and emails
Go to a real agent and don’t bother with Purple Bricks they take your money and run.
Complaints procedure not worth a rub so I will make sure I tell everyone that will listen what a bad service you get from PB.

DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM

DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. Dishwasher turned up smashed to bits been on hold for 1 hour 37 mins to be told to call another number for a return number then call back. The number they gave is not recognised.

Poor quality cases and customer service.

Bought a case in Jan and it’s split already. Quality has dropped and they are not as well made as they used to be. Contacted customer services who said pouches only hold 1 card. Offered me 50% off a new one. Don’t buy them. Cases poor customer service worse

I'm sorry to read your one star review and that you feel you have received poor customer service from us. As you have mentioned, and as my colleague advised you, the card slots in all of our cases are indeed intended for the storage of one card each. Having told us that you fill each slot with two cards, this naturally adds extra strain to the leather and increases the likelihood of rips or tears. I can only apologise that this occurred, however as this was caused by overfilling of the card slots during almost five months of use and not through any kind of manufacturing fault, we feel that offering you 50% discount of the purchase of a new case is a very reasonable gesture of goodwill. I'm sorry that you did not wish to accept this and that you feel this is poor customer service.

Excellent service, top quality kitchens and very good prices. Would not use anyone else

I am a builder have used Howdens for many years and would not use anyone else. The service I get from them is excellent and they are always very competitive with their prices. I have just done my own kitchen and it looks great.
