Archaic rude staff

I'll just add to the one star reviews shall I! Went to M&S Basingstoke to buy some underwear. Picked item out but couldn't find a price on it. Went to till and before I opened my mouth she barked out I needed to go to main till. I passed the main till on the way to lingerie section and there was a massive queue. I told her I didn't know if I wanted to buy it as didn't know the price. Snooty draws (obviously thinks she's something special as she works for M&S) refused to assist me. I know she could have looked up the price for me instead of barking at me to wait in a queue to find out price of item that I may not have purchased. Customer service at it's most archaic and worst!

Archaic and Offensive

Wanted to buy walking trousers and jacket. Picked out a pair of trousers, went to fitting room and all cubicles were locked! As you enter fitting room you are met with a sign threatening you with CCVT too. It all smacks of not trusting your customers which is very offensive. Waited for a member of staff to appear and eventually had to go to till to ask for cubicle to be opened. Tried trousers on that were too long so selected a shorter pair, went back to fitting room which was locked again with no staff member in sight again. Totally ridiculous and I haven’t got the time to be chasing a member of staff up every time I want to try an item of clothing on. Went to Tresspass and no issues there at all I could come and go as I pleased to the fitting room shock horror! Bought myself trousers and jacket. Won't be returning to Black's ever again.

Far too expensive and poor quality equipment

Been going here for years following a knee replacement. Great at first but since price increase and other gyms opening with lower membership fees it's getting hard to justify. The only reason I am still going is the location but I am actively seeking an alternative. I am also getting increasingly fed up of the poor quality of equipment. There's only one pull type rope which is a very popular item and I'm always having to wait to use it. There used to be two. Most of the equipment is not laid straight either! Screams penny pinching to me and that's so wrong considering the sky high prices.

We have been advised that the gym kit layout is currently the same as it was before GLL (Better) operated the Centre.

This means very minimal changes have occurred during this time.

Regarding your feedback about other companies, we’re unable to comment on their practices, as their services and offerings may differ from ours.

With a standard Membership package (the Better Health Centre agreement), you also benefit from access to a wider range of facilities, including the gym, swimming pool, fitness classes, and health suite.

We also intend to complete a £500,000 replacement of the gym kit, which will see the refurbishment of the facility across the next 6 months for our customers.

Disgusting Presentation of an Expensive Crystal

Absolutely awful presentation of a very expensive crystal. Arrived in a tatty cardboard box and crystal was wrapped in filthy bubble wrap. It was that dirty I put gloves on before I unwrapped it. Imagine buying this for someone and it arrived in that state. Zero effort and that's being generous on presentation. What about at least having the blurb about the crystal on a nice card or something. Guess from going by how I received item expecting some sort of gift box would be WAY too much trouble. Would not buy from here again.

Shambles and Awful Customer Service Experience
Purchased a £25 pendant specifically to go with a top bought at the same time from M&S. Pendant arrived tangled into a knot. When I inspected it there was a substantial part missing. I emailed which wasn't responded to and as I needed it to go along with top and was hoping for them to send a replacement as I was being treated for a much needed meal out by a friend, I decided to call customer services instead.

Despite already providing photos in my email I was asked to do it again which I did. The person I spoke to was polite throughout and sought advice from the manager several times during our conversation. After explaining my situation that I've just had a knee replacement, am in great pain, train station is half an hour walk away plus I would have to pay the train fare all they would offer was for me to keep broken pendant and they would give me a discount off my next purchase. Completely unfeeling of my plight and unacceptable. I wanted my money refunded fully and to not have to return it but apparently this was impossible.

I asked to speak to the Manager who was rude throughout accusing me of not letting her talk. I kept quiet for a couple of minutes waiting for her to say something then after a lengthy silence she piped in again in a rude manner 'can I talk now'. She then transferred me to another department.

The next lady I spoke to informed me if I went online I could arrange for M&S to collect the item. Perfect I thought. Went online and there was no option to do this so called them back.

I was informed that the collection option was no longer available and offered to refund me straight away 'and next time I was in town could drop it off'. I wanted clarification on how long I had as imagine in my current state that may be many months away she went off to speak with Manager again. Eventually they agreed to send Parcel Force out to collect it.

Altogether I spent an hour on the phone to them. They were not interested or understanding of my situation and I got the impression they thought I was just trying to get a 'freebie'. Yes I'm that desperate I want to keep a broken pendant.

I advise to think very carefully and choose wisely before you make an order as I was shocked at how poorly I was treated. I've been treated with more understanding and professionalism by less regarded stores. Obviously M&S couldn't care less.

SCAM and waste of time

Decided to sell our car via carwow and what a disaster. Never again. Your car sells and then the dealer comes out and has absolutely no intention of honouring the winning bid and immediately starts looking for non existing problems 'scrapes' that are just dirt that you can wipe away with your hand. We even had them pointing out issues that were clearly shown via photographs. Their Agenda is to wear you down to pay as little as possible. You are a disgrace carwow allowing this to happen. After 2 Dealers coming out and not honouring winning bid and reducing their offers to ridiculous amounts we went to We Buy Any Car and they offered more than both the Dealers. Total waste of our time and a SCAM and carwow know full well what is happening and enable it all. My advice don't use carwow!

Dire customer service and experience

Visited store yesterday to buy son the Christian Dior Sauvage perfume which is quite expensive. Stood at counter and was completely ignored by mature sales assistant who had an arrogant persona about her which was very off putting! Young sales assistant came over to 'help'. Asked for perfume which she had never heard of despite this being the fragrance area and didn't know what to look for so I tried to assist. Couldn't see it in cabinet and she couldn't find key to drawer where more expensive items are kept. Arrogant miserable gob just stood there doing nothing. The young assistant asked arrogant miserable gob and I could tell she was uncomfortable doing that. Miserable gob flounced over and opened drawer and then flounced off again. I'd just had enough at this point and had lost trust in the sales people particularly with it bit being such a high price item so walked away. This was a big purchase for me and was excited to buy it for my son but the whole experience was ruined. Purchased online from John Lewis instead who was price matching and free delivery anyway.

5* Experience Throughout

First time order and used the chat facility beforehand. You can buy the containers as well as the plants so wanted to know if plants would need re-potting as soon as delivered as if they did wasting my money buying containers to go with them. Was assured should be fine for a couple of years in their nursery pot.

Bit pricey which put me off a bit but because of excellent reviews and the amount of time I had trudged round garden centres and such places as B&Q and their very sad looking plants decided to take a chance.

Delivered by DPD with excellent tracking. Plants packaged very well indeed. Loved the personal touches of tags with bar codes to scan for care of plants and handy tip brochure how to look after them for the first few days.

I purchased Boston Fern, Bertie and Curly Spider, Chris and my goodness what beautiful specimens I received. They didn't look real they were so perfect. The containers were lovely so pleased with them too.

Of course now I have the responsibility of keeping them that way!

100% can recommend this company. The attention to detail and their beautiful plants speak for themselves!

We enjoyed it

Surprised to see so many poor reviews as we had an enjoyable time. Got there for 10am and very quiet. We had a nice walk round and there was plenty to do and look at before we headed off to the theme park. All the staff we encountered were lovely. We were able to just walk on lots of rides with no queuing. The rides weren't as exciting as some of the other larger Theme Parks but for us were aimed just right. As we were able to just walk on it was stress free and enjoyable. We then had something to eat and the food although a bit limited was actually quite good. Gift shop ok although sweet shop on the way out did not have much choice. We also went through safari and we saw a lot of animals and I quite enjoyed being able to rest after being on our feet for some time. It did take a good 2 hours at some points being stuck in queues with no animals to be seen so young children could get bored. After safari we headed back to theme park and watched the sea lion show which was excellent, went on a few more rides then headed home. We had a full and enjoyable time and there were lots of other walks etc that we didn't get time to do so I feel it was good value for money.

This will be my last order with Halara

Ordered on 23 March 2 pairs of jeans one of which is being held up as not in stock so it's holding up the whole order. After requesting information keep getting emails reassuring me items with be shipped 'this week' followed by email the following day telling me there are further delays but not giving me any idea at all how long I will be kept waiting. Received an email few days ago telling me items will be shipped this week then received an email today stating further delays to shipping. No information on how long I will be waiting! It also stated I could cancel order if I wished which really angered me as I've waited so long as it is. Is this really acceptable behaviour Halara and will you please tell me what is going on with my order and WHEN they will be shipped and stop going back on your promises all the time? After I receive my items I will be uninstalling their App and will never use them again and will be telling everybody I know of their appalling customer service.

I only got an email yesterday telling me there was still a problem with inventory/backorder. Which is it? Is there still a problem or will my items be shipped this week? Talking absolute rubbish. You and emails youre sending are contradicting each other.

Unbelievably rude staff at Basingstoke store

First time visit here. Had a list of what I wanted but needed help on certain items to find them instore. Two male members of staff in Basingstoke store chatting together right next to me. Politely interrupted asking where the primer was and he was obviously unhappy I had interrupted his conversation and rudely just pointed nowhere in particular and said you'll find it 'somewhere' here and then went back laughing and chatting with his store colleague.

It took some time for me to locate the item and all this time I was ignored whilst he continued his conversation with colleague. I was flabbergasted with his attitude.

I had quite a few items to locate and later politely asked another member of staff to help locate a sanding block for sand paper. She looked pretty put out I had dared to ask for help and stroppily strode to Isle and pointed not uttering one single word.

This was my very first visit to this store and I was really shocked at the way I was treated. For this to happen twice means there is something seriously wrong here with customer service and obviously I won't be returning!

Disappointed

Ordered jeans ages ago. Got an email from Halara last week thanking me for my patience and assuring me jeans would be shipped today at the latest and still just stating confirmed. Contacted using live chat and given the usual rubbish about them being made to order bla bla bla. Will never order from them again. Bunch of liars.

In response to below I have already 'reached out' and was just told about them being made to order so tough basically even though I placed order on 23 March and was assured by email it would be shipped (not delivered so goodness knows how much longer I'll have to wait) by 11 April (yesterday) so what's the point in contacting you again plus I no longer have faith what you say can be relied on.

Further update!

Received an email on 12 April telling me my order would be shipped this week. On 15 April receive another email telling me of an additional delay to my order but no information at all on how long I will be kept waiting. To add insult to injury I am being told to 'please be patient' really?

Returns Process is a Turn Off

I find the website quite hard to navigate and don't seem to be able to leave reviews for products I've purchased. I don't understand the loyalty scheme as every time I try and use my points it doesn't work. The jeans are really comfortable and I love them. The leggings were very uncomfortable, too tight even though I bought same size as jeans. I've had to keep them as the process of returning anything is not straight forward. They make it very difficult. For this reason I would not order anything apart from the jeans which I have already and know that they fit. Also, would be great if they had all their jeans, trousers in petite. I cannot order anything than petite as it would be too long and I don't understand why they don't offer this size in all jeans and trousers.

App needs fixing

App was fine at first but now can't track bus. Not helpful as have son with ASD who gets anxious whilst travelling so can't notify him of delays or cancellations.

Points voucher system doesn't work

Ordered from here previously and received points I could turn into a £5 voucher. Today went onto site to purchase an item and attempted to use voucher and stated it was not valid. Will not shop here again.

More Like Royal Snail

My heart always sinks when I realise my delivery is by Royal Mail as I know there is a high possibility of a problem and of course there is with my latest delivery. I've been ordering umpteen items delivered by Amazon, DHL, Evri etc and although now and again there may be a problem at least more often than not you get notified of a delay or you can track it. With Royal Mail their tracking is useless. I had a text yesterday to say my delivery would be between 11.15am and 2.15am today. Waited in and a no show. Tracking contradicts the text saying that item is at National Parcel Hub. Can't get any other information. I wish companies would stop using Royal Mail they are completely unreliable and incompetent. Even their tracking half the time doesn't work.

Extremely Dissatisfied and Disappointed

First order I have made from your company and so disappointed. I ordered 17 100g bags of sweets and only received 11. Of these 11 were only 4 of the bags I ordered.

I contacted company by email seeing as there is no telephone number. I received a reply to ask for photographic evidence which is fair enough and immediately emailed this through.

Unfortunately I did not get the same immediate response and am still waiting for their reply.

I can't chase it up by email as apparently if I do my query will go to the back of the queue so I'm left in the dark as to what is going on with my order.

I bought these as a gift for my husband who has been unwell to cheer him up. I ordered all his favourites and I was excited to give them to him. It was such a let down when I opened the box and I'm still waiting to hand over his gift.

Don't like splitting of orders

I like the products for gifts and postage tracking is very good, however I do not like that I buy several gifts for the same person and they arrive on different days. For this reason will not buy again unless it's one single gift.

Thanks for reply below but I would like to know in advance of purchase whether items will arrive together or separately. If you're buying a gift It's really not acceptable for them arriving on different days for the same person.

We do try our very best to ensure that items on an order are sent out in the same parcel however, as stock can be stored in different warehouses at different locations, it can unfortunately be the case that items placed on the same order, may arrive on different days or be delivered by different couriers.
