Complete Remedial Solutions/My Worst Nightmare

I found Complete Remedial Solutions to be abysmal and their customer service almost non-existent, it was over 90% just recorded msgs. They did a dreadful job installing insulation in our attic, it was all just chucked about unevenly over the floorboards and left in a right mess. The first thing they did on arrival was to complain and phone their boss whining.
CRS grudgingly agreed to send someone back to correct the horrendous workmanship they did, so after much stress and a half dozen visits it was put right.
Regarding the fans they installed in the bathroom and kitchen, the engineer arrived and told me what was easiest for him to install and wanted to put the fans on both ceilings. I suggested I preferred to have them on the walls, so he complained for the whole rest of the time he was here. I've had to pay someone else £120 to come in this week and finish the job they started and have it done to a decent standard.
The Polish workmen who came to wire the fans were great and there was no complaining nor phoning their boss to moan about every little thing from them.
So my experience with CRS was dreadful, the boss was a very rude know-it-all who kept over-talking me when I eventually spoke to him on the phone and I was glad to see the back of the lot of them.
I felt VERY judged for the fact that I had a government grant to have this work carried out and the overall attitude seemed to be that I should be grateful for what I had no matter how disgusting the workmanship and 'results'. I would never have them to my home again. An absolutely awful and disrespectful company who were my worst nightmare to deal with, avoid, avoid, avoid!!!

Probert & Barton Solicitors were Brilliant!

I went to Probert & Barton solicitors in Neath to take care of a conveyancing matter and the sale of my old house/purchase of the new one. My solicitor was Laura and she did a really amazing job of getting our sale through very quickly. Laura was very thorough, professional, fairly-priced and highly efficient. I would definitely recommend Probert & Barton, they were great!

Very Straight, Good Estate Agency

I found these to be a very straightforward and easy to deal with estate agency. The staff are pleasant and helpful and I got an answer the same day as I put an offer in on a property. That's what people want, not messing about. Therefore, I would not hesitate in recommending them. Very good people to deal with, I used the Talbot Green office and moved 21-Nov-2025. Happy with our purchase and no complaints.

I had an awful experience with TAUK

I had an awful experience with TAUK. Please know that after you make a bonified offer on a property, they are highly likely to go on encouraging other viewers in order to increase the price. This is highly unethical and it's a terrible way to treat a prospective buyer. I would dodge this estate agency if you can, also they make you wait ages for an answer when you make an offer. Very dishonest and poor practice. I really would prefer not to be got at to delete this review by TAUK this time. I'm entitled to my opinion regarding how I've been treated.
TAUK are to be avoided at all costs!!!

We are genuinely sorry to hear that you felt frustrated during the process. Buying a property is an emotional and often time-sensitive experience, and we completely understand how delays or continued viewings can feel disappointing from a buyer’s perspective.

That said, as a regulated estate agency, we have a clear fiduciary duty to the sellers who instruct us. We are contractually and legally obliged to act in their best interests at all times. This includes continuing to market a property and conduct viewings unless and until our client instructs us otherwise. We are also required to pass on all offers received to our seller, regardless of timing or amount. Failing to do so would be a breach of our professional obligations.

Encouraging viewings while offers are under consideration is not unethical practice, it is standard industry procedure and forms part of ensuring our clients have full transparency and the opportunity to achieve the best possible outcome for their sale. The decision on how to proceed always rests with the seller, not with us.

With regards to response times, we always relay offers to our clients promptly, but sellers may need time to consider their position, particularly if there are multiple interested parties. We appreciate that waiting for a decision can be frustrating, but we cannot make or rush that decision on their behalf.

We would also like to be clear that we do not “get at” reviewers to remove feedback. We may respond where we believe clarification is helpful, as we are doing here, but everyone is entitled to share their experience.

Not a good experience

I paid the yearly fee which was quite expensive and didn't find the site very good at all. I learned very little and didn't find the site easy to use at all. They upped their fee for the next year and went on taking money out of my account. No emails to let me know. This left me feeling very angry. I personally wouldn't recommend them and will never sign up in future.

Not a great experience, latte course good

Not a great experience. Coaltown products are really quite expensive and the quality isn't what it used to be. We went to one of their events which was quite disappointing. It was advertised as 'Sips and Sounds', so we had imagined that there might be some coffee tasting, but that wasn't the case. The latte art course was very good, informative and interesting. I just think that more could be done at Coaltown events.

We’re sorry to hear that the overall event didn’t meet your expectations. Sips and Sounds is advertised as a cocktail and music night rather than a coffee cupping experience, so while coffee is available to purchase from the bar, structured tasting isn’t part of that particular event format. We do host dedicated coffee cupping evenings in partnership with our wholesale partners and these are promoted via our events page on our website and socials. We’d love for you to join us at one of those in the future if that’s of interest.

In terms of pricing, the global cost of coffee has risen significantly in recent years. We remain committed to paying farmers fairly for their product, as we source speciality coffee. Also we operate as Living Wage employers, so unfortunately that does mean we have to reflect industry-wide increases in our pricing. Maintaining quality and ethical sourcing continues to be extremely important to us.

We are genuinely saddened to see that your overall experience was rated two stars but we do appreciate the honest feedback and will take your comments on board.

Recently bought a fridge, happy with my purchase

Recently bought a fridge and found their prices on fridges were the best around. I think Currys are beginning to realise ppl shop online for the best deals and seem to be keeping up more as time goes on. No problems with the fridge, great value for money. £150 for a fridge over 130cm was a bargain. The lad at the Pontypridd branch lifted the fridge into the car and was a very good help. I would recommend them.

Work Hard to Please the Customer

Yes, happy to have bought from Bella Barista. I bought my son a £420 grinder and we had a problem with it. Sent it back and got another grinder from them, no issues since (over a year ago). Bella Barista items are good quality, they listen to their customers and pull out all the stops to leave the customer happy. I really can't complain. I'd be more than happy to recommend them.

A very good experience

A very good experience, in short. Ease of use regarding the website, fantastic quality on the clothes and I think you get what you pay for with M&S. This is why they are a trusted and popular outlet. Please beware of copycat 'M&S' items on a well known online marketplace. I bought stuff that was the same prices as the genuine stuff, but all the clothes were fakes. Please use the M&S site directly so you know you're getting genuine items. As for genuine M&S gear? It's fabulous and I am more than happy to highly recommend. They post quickly as well and have a really good returns department. No issues with them at all, really good experience.

Very Disappointed with Chase, Dreadful Experience

I'm very disappointed with Chase and plan to leave them at the next nearest opportunity. They have weird and ridiculous rules if you ring them for help, and they make it virtually impossible to get the assistance you need. None of it made sense to me and dealing with them was a very unnecessarily upsetting experience. I'm not a happy customer at all and cannot recommend them to anyone. They are to be avoided at all costs.

Some Ups and Downs but Happy Overall

I ordered a dishwasher, oven and gas hob from Appliances Direct and overall was happy with my purchases. The delivery company they use isn't ideal and they changed the delivery date three times, which was irritating. The after sales weren't that impressive over the phone, but we got there in the end. The website was easy to use and make orders on, so that was fine. Their best points were free delivery (as their rivals charged £20 per item), good website and their stock availability was very good with no waiting. I'm happy with the appliances I bought and would recommend ElectriQ as a brand too. I would recommend Appliances Direct all things considered.

This company was my worst nightmare

This company was my worst nightmare. Rude staff and an extortionate fee of £150, all to tell me 'there's something mechanically wrong with your car'. The guy was no more specific than that. Like really? He also complained to Trustpilot to get my other review removed, so I'm back to post another one. Booking Jorvick was a complete waste of £150 for no more than 10 minutes of pressing buttons. It was an absolute rip-off, wish I'd never heard of the place. Suffice to say I'll never go there again and cannot recommend. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Top Quality Job, Satisfied Customer

We recently had Chris Iveson's team in to put a new slate roof on, plus fit a rubber roof on our kitchen extension. All of the work was carried out in February of 2026. I have to say I am very impressed by the job they've done. They were fast and professional workers, they always left the place clean and tidy, and their work was second to none. I knew their work was good after checking out photos and comments on their fb page. On reflection now, I'm happy and satisfied that I chose them to do the work. Also a very pleasant group of lads. Highly recommended, 100%.

Inconsistent, Unreliable & Unhealthy

Changes Bristol is a charity and is supposed to be there to support people struggling with mental health issues, but they don't. They have various inconsistent rules, which vary from one week to the next. You never know where you are with them and they are highly inconsistent and unreliable. Such unstable groups just are not good for people who are struggling and this is the reason I will not go back. I cannot recommend them to others because it is 100% not a group that any vulnerable person should be a part of, in all honesty. There is a very subtle level of bullying going on with it and they make up various rules on different weeks to suit their moods. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!!

eBay Seller Says he's Ex-Police to Intimidate Me

I won an auction for a pen from an eBay seller called ticknall19. He himself set the postage and decided to blame me for choosing 'small parcel' and cancelled the auction after it ended and I won. Buyers cannot choose postage options, only the seller does this. The sad reality was that the seller was disappointed he had only got just over £2 for the pen, so issued a refund and relisted the pen for more. I won the auction fair and square and should've been sent the item, but ticknall19 went on to tell me he was a retired policeman and I should be careful what I say after I complained about him cancelling the sale. In other words, he tried to intimidate me, so I complained to eBay directly and they're looking into it. It's disgusting how I've been treated. Just because someone is ex-police, it doesn't entitle them to make up their own rules and cancel a sale if they don't like the money they got, nor should they be free to threaten people. I'd like to warn others about this.

Expensive Pests, Avoid!!!

I had a valuation from Peter Alan around the middle of 2025. Firstly, they wildly over-estimated the value of my property in order to get my custom, and secondly they were asking for fees in excess of four grand for their services. I was horrified by their fee, which was not even nearly competitive with other estate agencies. Plus they absolutely would NOT take no for an answer when I chose someone else to sell my house. Peter Alan phoned me at least eight times after I notified them I did not want their services and I expressly requested that they remove my name from their systems every time they called. But no, they kept calling and pestering me for at least five months, sometimes with up to three calls a week. I've now been living in my new house for two months and I've just taken yet ANOTHER call!!!! At this point, I'm seriously considering calling the police and reporting them for harassment. It's just ridiculous that they won't leave me alone. I find their sales tactics to be unnecessarily aggressive, they clearly don't listen and they charge double what others charge for the privilege. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! This estate agency is an absolute nightmare.

The Mousetrap cheeses are absolutely delicious

The Mousetrap cheeses are absolutely delicious. If you like cheese, you've not tasted the best until you've bought cheese from this shop. It really is melt-in-the-mouth cheese for the seasoned connoisseur. We've just had an order arrive and are cutting lumps off to eat without any crackers etc. The goats brie is just heavenly, Snowdonia is delicious, and the cranberry cheese is otherworldly. The orders are free postage over a certain amount. If you're tempted to buy from here, do it. I promise you that you'll return for more, like us. It's our special treat to order from the Mousetrap. Gorgeous cheeses!!!

Discriminatory, non-functional and non-supportive

They refused to provide me with a SIM card as my son had already purchased one. The customer support refused to rectify the error, so I was ultimately unable to purchase the SIM card.

I suggest that disallowing customers due to their address is a form of discrimination, as larger households would find themselves unable to migrate to this provider.

According to the support... "
In order to avoid the misuse of the discount promotional offer the restricted is in place with the postal details. We are not refusing you to provide the SIM card." (If they weren't refusing to provide the SIM card, I would have been able to purchase it.)

Furthermore, with some of the experiences noted in other reviews, I would suggest that others avoid this provider. Why they fend off paying customers boggles the mind.
