Had a great experience at Boots Opticians in Shrewsbury recently, from the very thorough eye test post cataract op (thank you Shannon), to the very patient staff fitting my complex prescription into frames I liked(thank you Fiona and Jet), to Jenny who did thd final fitting of the new glasses. Both glasses are great (I had sunglasses too) and I would certainly give this team 5 stars.🙂

I made an appointment over the phone just for an eye pressure check on the request of my GP and Consultant. Although I was originally told that would be fine was told on arrival that this was not possible and that I would need another full eye check. Luckily Mark found a way to accommodate this and Monet and Saidah carried out he check and diagnosis. I was truly grateful as this has been a very stressful six months for me trying to find a cure for sinusitis while not affecting my eye pressure with the steroids spray advocated by my doctor. Thank you for your support.

Two bad prescriptions in a row have left me with glasses that are unusable with a no-refunds policy, meaning I'm several hundred pounds out of pocket with glasses that now live in a drawer. Brilliant.

I spent a very pleasant hour in Boots Weston Favell centre Northampton this morning, being looked after by Binan, Debbie and Alisha 🙂🙂
They couldn't have been more Friendly Helpful and Knowledgeable, and helped me choose a lovely pair of new Glasses 👍👍🙂

Visited boots optician, Guildford on mon 23/02/2026.
Saw “Signe”, for my optician eye test, very thorough thereafter, was looked after by “Victoria,Camille,Amara’s & Mahum,”to arrange for new glasses. I discovered at the end of my a/p that they are a new team! They were all so helpful & knowledgeable and ensured that the 2 pairs of glasses with the updated prescription were perfect & perfect they are. A very positive experience, Thank you all, most grateful. LH

I had an eye problem which my usual optician, Specsavers, told me I had to be seen within 24 hours, they had no appointments. I eventually spoke to an optician at Boots in Telford town Centre who agreed to stay late and see me at the end of the day. When I thanked her for staying beyond closing time she said that if her parents were in need of urgent care she hoped that someone would stay late for them. Fantastic service and a big thank you.

This is a company who have not offered me a service, and not likely to. Had Eye test, had fitting for specks two pairs, said wanted to pay by Klarna. Told that I would have to wait until manage was in on the Monday, 3 days. She said that she had a problem with the computer. They phoned when out so we called them back for three days, never answered, end result candled the order after 3 weeks and nothing was resolved. NO service. No concern for the customer, and no service, I run a retail shop and can say service, service, service, my customers come first, Boots don't give this service very very poor, Your reply showed that you are not interacted in dealing with the issue.Service means that you put yourself out deal with the matter,your manager has the details and you should be trying to get the customer back. Once again I do not work for Boots,nor paid by Boots it’s your problem,either sort it or lose it,now not even worth one star.

I recently went for an eye test and purchased 2 pairs of glasses (buy one pair, get one half price). Picking glasses is one of my least favourite things to do, because I never know what suits me and I always buy similar.
This time I met Fran - what an absolute legend and credit to the York store! Everyone needs a Fran, someone who listens to you but is also honest and advises well! So well, that I bought 2 pairs within in 30 minutes, she walked around trying different shapes/styles, but most importantly didnt rush me into buying any, she is just a nice person to sit and have a chat with whilst trying glasses on!
I went back today (3 days later) to collect both pairs, I just wanted to say thank you again and recommend going to Boots and asking for Fran!!
All the staff were nice and welcoming and my eye test was quick and easy too!

I recently went to the Fareham Boots Store, staff were nice. I had my eye test and was told “No change in Prescription”. I thought it was strange since I have had to wear glasses since the age of 5 years old and I am now 68yrs old every 2 years I have always had to have stronger glasses especially for reading. The also have a very small cataract in one eye, nothing to worry about. I kept thinking about my eye test over the weekend so I paid privately for a 2nd eye test at Specsavers.
For a start the prescription and my old glasses were completely different to my new prescription and Boots prescription was completely different to Specsavers, I wouldn’t be worried if there was a slight difference but it’s not.
Specsavers have all the new high tech equipment whereas Boots are still using the old fashioned heavy glasses with sliding lenses.
This is not the 1st time I have had problems with Boots definitely won’t be going there ever again!!!

Was due my annual eye test and was totally pleased with my experience with all staff members, especially Iqrah, Mercy and Hannah. They helped me through the lengthy process of needing increased prescription glasses since having cataract surgery previously. They helped with additional eye problems like dry eye. They helped me choose the new glasses and took time to make sure they suited me including the offers available. As stated all aspects of my appointment was treated professionally and helpfully. I would recommend Boots Optician at Queens Rd Sheffield to anyone needing to get help with eye care at all levels.

I visited Boots opticians in West Wickham, Kent to arrange for a half price pair of sunglasses as a promotional deal on a pair of varifocals I’d bought in December 2025. I was dealt with by Pauline, a staff member, with absolute professionalism, patience and customer care. She arranged the best deal for me and having collected my new sunglasses, I have to say that I am extremely pleased with them and would highly recommend this store.

I have been coming to boots eldon square for 30 years now and never had a bad experience good staff have come and gone but they have been able to keep replacing them, but my recent experience with Helen was just so good, nothing was to much trouble and very friendly we even had a joke or too but the service was excellent top class and I want to say a big thank you to Helen THANK YOU.

I had a problem with my eye and it was almost closing time, the optician Jasmin kindly sat me down advised me on my problem and what further action to take as there were no emergency appointments available. Very grateful for the service and easing my worries about my eyes.

I visited the Warminster Boots Opticians for a check up, the service given was professional, friendly and all together a good experience. The Optician was Georgia and I was helped by Charlie and would recomment both, definitely will be my go to opticians in the future.
