The Galigo was a very nice liveaboard I used for a dive trip to Raja Ampat in March 2026. It offers all facilities and the staff are extremely smart and helpful!

Very good support in securing a reservation on a liveboard trip in Thailand.

The LiveAboard website was very useful to find all possible trips matching my time window and travel itinerary. After selecting my preferred trip, the customer support Team kept very good communication and ensured that the reservation would be made as soon as possible, and confirmed availability on the boat.
After the reservation and payment, I received all detail instructions and directions.

Raja Ampat is the most biologically diverse area we have ever dived in over 40 years of scuba around the world, with more live coral and sealife than anywhere else we’ve experienced.in a similar vein, Gaia Love is the best run and most comfortable scuba liveaboard we’ve been on anywhere.
- It doesn’t have the “romance” of the traditional Indonesian “phinisi”, but what you lose in tradition you gain in space, comfort, amenities and a stable platform all custom-geared to the scuba diver. Also, the staff is second to none in attentiveness, responsiveness, safety and diving protocols.
- Among the safety measures is a GPS transmitter issued to all divers and placed in a BCD pocket. Each one is individually assigned and registered on the boat’s bridge’s navigation equipment. Nobody ever needed to activate it, but it’s comforting to know you will be found even if swept far away by surface current.
- Nitrox, of course, as well as 15l tanks if you suck air like I do, and any bit of rental scuba gear you don’t want to schlepp around the world with you.

Tenders typically go out with no more than 4/5 divers at a time with their dive guide. Tanks and BCDs are transferred to the tender from the dive deck by the staff, stored underway (as they are on the dive deck) in cylindrical wells. Then, when ready to dive, the guide and tender driver help everyone on with their gear - and into the water you go in a synchronized backward roll. Getting back out is similarly easy: hand up your weight belt, hand up ypur BCD and tank, hand up ypur finds, grab onto the sturdy tender rails climb up the ladder - It just couldn’t be more comfortable - or kind to my 75-year old arthritic knees and back.

Back on the dive platform, there are warm showers and the staff helps everyone strip off their “sticky” wet suits and skins. Again, it could not be more comfortable. Back up on the dive deck, a cup of hot ginger tea and warm towels await you, and the staff are already busy refilling tanks and washing and hanging wet suits to dry for the next plunge. Your camera gear will have found its way to the fresh water basin in front of every station, which also has more than ample dry storage for all your gear.

If it weren’t for a reluctance to go repeatedly to the same places (whether for scuba or other international travel) my wife and I would book Gaia Love again in a heartbeat. After dozens of liveaboards and over 70 countries visited outside North America we, in our late 70s, still have many travel adventures ahead of us - until we physically can’t anymore.

Gaia Love will undoubtedly remain one of our most memorable.

All in all, an A+ liveaboard in an A+ part of the world for scuba. Highly recommended. Book early and prepare yourself for a lot of time underway to get there.

I booked a boat tour around the Greek islands for this summer because it was clearly advertised on their website with a 50% discount from the original price. That discount was the main reason I chose it. However, it appears to be not entirely true.They come back asking for full price because apparently the operator for this trip informed them that the 50% siscount is no longer applicable.Not sure who is to blame - Live Aboard or the tour operator, perhaps both.
This feels like classic false marketing — advertising attractive discounts to get customers in, then changing the terms later.

In my view, this is unreliable and deceptive practice. I would not trust this company/Live Aboard with my travel plans

We did the 10day cruise with Mikumba Diving - Jelajahi Laut around Raja Ampat. It was amazing! The crew are always at your service to help in any way possible. Safety is first. The boat is kept clean at all times. The diving was spectacular. There were Island excursions that were fun too! You will not go hungry, there are plenty of meals being served by a wonderful chef. (You'd think you were at a 5 star restaurant.) Abdaa was wonderful as cruise director and our dive guide Howe took the best care of my husband and I. This was a dream vacation I will never forget. vol vers les maldives du 6 mars annulé, donc croisiére annulé et aucun geste commerciale de la part de liveabord ni du croisiériste Emperor. perte sèche 2400 euros bien qu'ils ne soit pas responsable de se faite du à la guerre en Iran, un geste aurait été le bienvenu.

Cayman Islands Liveaboard Feb 2026
We had a fabulous week aboard the Cayman Aggressor IV with Captain Josh & 2nd Captain Sarah & their fabulous crew Rodel, Mili, Chelsea, Braven & David! The liveaboard is in excellent condition…our room was great, we never felt crowded & had plenty of room on the dive deck as well as space to hang out and relax on the top deck between dives. Chef Chelsea was hard at work all week preparing amazing food and snacks and we had plenty of vegetarian options to choose from. We had beautiful weather and we were able to dive all 3 islands. We had such a fun group & met so many nice people traveling from all over & just had a really nice time together between diving, sharing meals and hanging out. Definitely enjoyed the warm showers on the dive deck and hot towels between dives and hot chocolate with Baileys after our night dives….oh, in the hot tub! Lots of ocean life on our dives and Barry the Barracuda like to hang out under the boat and mess with us on our night dives! Highly recommend! We can’t wait to book our next adventure!

My experience with LiveAboard was extremely disappointing and frustrating.
From the very beginning, there was a lack of clarity and transparency. We specifically asked whether the diving equipment was included in the package, and we were clearly told that it was. Now, after the booking has been finalized, they claim that the person who responded made a “human error” and that the equipment is not included after all. This is unacceptable. We are talking about a diving trip — equipment is not a minor detail.
According to the program they sent us, the first day was supposed to be for trying the equipment and doing a check dive. Instead, we spent the entire day, from 9:00 a.m. until around 7:00 a.m. the following morning, stuck in the port of Malé doing absolutely nothing. No check dive, no equipment fitting, nothing at all. On top of that, the noise from construction and boats was unbearable. It was a terrible start to what was supposed to be a dream trip.
Customer support is also extremely poor. They are responsive and attentive right up until the booking is completed. Once the payment is made, they disappear. During the cruise and after the trip, the assistance is practically nonexistent. We felt completely unsupported.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience: unclear information, contradictory statements, a program that was not respected, and miserable customer service. I would not recommend booking through this platform.

J’ai réservé une croisière en Égypte qui était confirmée depuis plus de deux mois avant le départ. Après plusieurs échanges au cours desquels on m’a demandé les détails de mon vol ainsi que le matériel à louer, le voyage a finalement été annulé seulement deux semaines avant le départ.

Aucune excuse ne m’a été présentée. Les alternatives proposées ne concernaient pas la même destination et aucun dédommagement ne m’a été offert, pas même un remboursement pour le vol déjà réservé.

Je suis extrêmement déçu(e) par ce manque de professionnalisme et de considération envers les clients

I really like scuba diving and travel, then I found the liveaboards trips and it is my favourite way of mix my both passions. They started well - being responsive and helpful, but that changed as soon as we'd booked when they started telling us there were extra fees, even insisting they were a 'legal requirement (turned out to be nonsense).

The trip they sold us was a nightmare, and when we tried to leave an honest review they refused to publish it, which indicates that their review system has no veracity whatsoever - clearly all they care about is taking your money and they're willing to lie to do it.

Liveaboard.com is my go-to reference whenever I want to book a scuba diving liveaboard. So far, I’ve done four trips through them and I’ve never been disappointed. For any need, the service provided is prompt and efficient; the website is well structured and allows me, in just a few minutes, to find the liveaboard that best suits me, anywhere in the world.
