The mechanic was knowledgeable and helpful. The AA system, not so much. The AA failed to advise me that there was a 4-hour delay. I had to call them myself and was put on hold for 15 minutes. They did give me a small discount as a goodwill gesture.

The communication is poor, most of which arrived after the technician had left, no pre warning of arrival. In fact the guy rang me as he was reversing up the driveway. I received an email thanking me for dropping the car at the garage, that they would take things from there, what is that all about? This is a service at home! The technician arrived around 14:00 at 17:15 I received both email and text saying he should be with me at 14:05. Technician was excellent, polite, well mannered and explained everything he’d done. Unfortunately he’s being let down by the technical side of the organisation. Will seriously consider if this is the best route when the next service is due.

The communication from the mechanic was great and the work was carried out efficiently. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the work and the friendly, helpful mechanic. I would not hesitate to recommend the AA mobile service.

Very professional and friendly mechanic

The mechanic on the day was 5 star, but when it came for the AA to take my payment was a complete nightmare. Pending status for 7 days coultn't get the money back in to my account till the eighth day to then resend to AA. Every day had at least 5 emails saying payment missed even though I rang them and explained the situation. I finally paid the bill today and now getting more emails sayin my booking has been changed and its exactly the same as i recieved when i orginally booked the car in.

Dean done a excellent job of fixing my van, turned up, when expected. With no fuss,just got on with it. Very pleasant. Thank you.

Very friendly, very informative. A great personality all round and happy with the work done. If possible could l get the same mechanic on all my future bookings.

Mechanic was a lovely chap and carried out the tasks as requested. Only issue was I booked a morning slot, took time off but no show until 2pm. No contact from company, I chased on WhatsApp

My Peugeot 3008 auxiliary belt snapped, AA mechanic did not completely remove pieces of the old belt before installing the new one, by next day the new installation completely trashed the entire engine as the debris got into the cam belt damaging the engine beyond repair. Now it cranks, won't start for a car that I am still paying £250 on car finance with 2 more years left to pay off.

Informed AA, the good news is I have to pay AGAIN to have their mechanic come over.

Excellent service

I find it very difficult going to a garage and not feel intimidated. I chose a home service so it was a 1 to 1 where I would not be so anxious. My mechanic today was Michael Rogers, honestly he was the nicest easiest mechanic I have spoken to since driving. He explained everything, showed me parts and even gave me tips on making sure my car was happy and healthy. I don't think I will ever go back to having a garage service again. AA made the whole process from booking to paying so easy and the continued updating was brilliant. I was so happy with the service and price.

Service itself was fine. However, I never received a call in the morning to let me know of a general time slot like they said. Afternoon appointments also state before 4pm, and they came at 5:10pm. Which was inconvenient as I booked the afternoon off of work for no reason. The cost said £233 and I was charged £259. Contacted by email to question the cost and never heard back. Got a report showing all the things tested but no written list of suggestions, just told verbally which I now cannot remember all the things recommended. Convenient that they can come to your house but not sure if I would use them again.

Following a cancelled appointment due to no mechanic being available at the time it was booked 5 days later the appointment arrived. The mechanic was helpful , polite and knowledgeable . I told him what the fault, was told it was an easy fix. Following 20 minutes of diagnostics I was told that it could not be fixed. Basically I was charged for informing the AA what the error indicator was. If from the outset I knew that the problem could not be fixed I would not have booked and saved £99.

After breaking down on a motorway I was made an appointment with a mobile mechanic who arrived today to replace the alternator , it took about an hour and my car now working fine . I would be happy to use them again

The mechanic was professional, polite and friendly too

The men that was sent to help service my car were clearly unprofessional, inconsiderate, and lazy mobile workshop engineers.
They lied to have done major service within few minutes, sat in their van chatting and whiling time. Unknown to them, I was watching every of their moves from the window.
I tried to stay with them, they insisted I leave, promising to ring me as soon as they were done!
