Booked in for a major service which was not completed fluids not topped up suspension and wheels not checked leak missed couldnât reset service light and was told he didnât have the tools to adjust the valves and would be back I had to chase it numerous times they finally came back 2 months later power steering fluid still below min and valves not done but this time a few things that needed looking at were reported back to me. I have no faith in them and would not use again

Booked a full service for a leased car that requires a digital service record. I researched on the net and called in to confirm this with the AA smartcare who agreed.
Firstly, booked an AM appointment and technician was a no show. After many calls back and forth he turned up late afternoon. There was no communication of the delay at all. Service completed with no paperwork of works done, just a stamp in the book.
Secondly, they serviced the car and refuse to do a DSR entry as itâs something they were doing but stopped recently. I now have to either get the service done again with Vauxhall or pay them more money to inspect and add the entry on DSR.
I expect more from a brand like AA and totally dissatisfied with the whole issue. Speaking to them on the phone or WhatsApp is a waste of time as everything goes round in circles and the team donât seem to know there own internal departments to raise my issue with to rectify. They just insist on me making a formal complaint as best solution.

What a great service the AA provide. This is the second time I have used their mobile mechanics for my annual service on my Discovery Sport. So convenient having this done at home and not having to go to a dealer and pay extortionate prices.
JLR wanted £1200, AA cost £220 for the same service. Would highly recommend
They charged VAT twice!
Firstly no call on day to day as to when they were coming. This was promised. Mechanic had to ask me what service Iâd booked. No explanation as to any paperwork at end or email link. Mechanic filled my book as an oil service when infact it was an interim. Lastly they cleverly overcharged me by adding a second payment for VAT! So VAT charged twice. Good job I checked. A serious money maker!

The garage was brilliant
The garage was brilliant, absolutely no issue with them, it's the AA I have the issue with, they did not inform me of the car failing it's mot even though the garage had informed them at 9.30am, I got in touch with the garage to see if my car was ready to pick up at 3.30 to be told no as it had failed.
The same process happened with the ordering and delivery of parts and I had to ring the call centre to get it sorted which meant that my car was in the garage for 3 days and I missed out on a day's work, absolute shambles, will never use smart care again.

Horrible communication between AA
Horrible communication between AA and garage performing work. Garage informed to not speak to me the customer at all about the ongoing work, But AA directly telling me to ask them for updates on the work. AA did not inform me that the car had failed its MOT until i had phoned at end of day to ask what was happening. AA delayed the work being approved because they wouldnt communicate to the garage about the extra service time due to siezed components. AA consistently didnt further progress or communicate to me what was happening until i enquired. AA sent text to me that my car was ready to be collected at 03:40am 13 hours after i had already collected my car. My car only needed brake discs and pads to pass the MOT. I should not have been without my car for 3 days.
