Avoid Preston!

During my appointment, the optician actually raised her voice at me because I couldn’t make a date that suited her. I found that shocking to be honest.

I was also told different things about lens replacement, which just added to the stress and I felt that someone lies to achieve a month commission.

When I asked about getting a refund, things got worse. I overheard a staff member REFER TO ME BY MY NATIONALITY, which didn’t sit right with me at all. It felt inappropriate and made me quite uncomfortable.

The manager didn’t handle things well either. He came over quite abruptly and stood over me while talking, which felt a bit intimidating. I had to ask him to explain and apologise before he even sat down. Even then, he kept interrupting me while I was trying to speak, which was really frustrating.

By the time I left, I felt really upset and shaken. I actually ended up CRYING IN MY CAR afterwards, which says a lot about how the whole situation made me feel.

Overall, it was a horrible experience.

Good service overall. Professional on my recent eye test and friendly staff. I have been going to vision express for my contact lenses for over 3 years now and aside from a few issues where my lenses weren’t delivered on time the service has been good. The staff even went above and beyond by ordering my lenses a month in advance to prevent any more issues with deliveries and providing me with some free trial lenses to see me through until my delivery arrived.

I was informed about the plan to get my contact lenses delivered which includes free eye tests and care which seemed like a no brainer until I was informed you have to pay 3 months at a time. If this was a pay monthly scheme rather than every 3 months I would have gone for it but stumping up the cost of 3 months in one go wasn’t affordable for me. That’s why I have given 4 stars instead of 5 and the only thing that let the service down. If you give the option to join the scheme on a monthly payment I would give the service 5 stars.

Excellent experience visiting burton vision express. The store has recently been through a make over and it has been much improved.

I had an excellent experience with my optician, Fatima. From the moment I arrived, she was warm, professional, and incredibly attentive.

What really stood out was her attention to detail and genuine care. She listened carefully to my concerns and made sure all my questions were answered without rushing me. Her expertise was clear, and I felt confident that I was receiving the best possible care.

Fatima also gave helpful advice on maintaining eye health and choosing the right lenses, which I really appreciated. The whole experience felt personal rather than rushed, which is rare these days.

I would highly recommend Fatima to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, patient, and friendly optician. I’ll definitely be returning for future appointments.

The Holborn branch has the best staff of any, as they provide the customer the best personal service which makes them unique and as such they should be highly valued. They create a trusting relationship with their customers and this encourages loyalty

Used vision express in Cwmbrân. Absolutely outstanding service which felt more personal and attentive than some larger more publicised competitors.

Staff were attentive, professional, helpful and offered assistance to both my wife and I at a recent appointment.

Eye tests were thorough and all aspects fully explained in a superb way.

Best eye test experience I have personally had and can’t thank the staff enough for assisting my wife.

I received great customer service, was given great advice and never felt rushed or pressured. I was served by a lovely lady but can’t remember her name, she had blonde hair that was in a pony tail and had black glasses on. Would definitely recommend.

Other than an issue with ordering. The experience was brilliant the team are wonderful. We just ordered the same pair of glasses twice this has been rectified and I am happy. Thanks ladies.

Very professional

Lovely opticians doing the eye exams, and a good range of glasses, but the supporting staff would benefit from customer service training and the facilities should be improved to support younger customers and those with additional needs.

Great service as always with knowledgable & friendly staff.

The service we were given was of a first class service , with the lady helping us choose our glasses and size them up exceptionally first class

I was very impressed with the treatment I received & with the optician who was very friendly and helpful. I was most impressed by the way I was not forced to buy new glasses as she told me my glasses which were two years old were still fine to use

Good customer service and good care from the optician.

Good: Simple to book. Nice pre-test call to ensure attendance. Pleasant staff and helpful.

Not so good: Didn't explain the steps and didn't tell me that the first person was on training so i had to stay for longer and her mentor would go through core elements again with me to ensure she was accurate. I was 30 mins late for my friend due to this.

They didn't know I was not on DD due to leaving the country. I explained this many time previously.
