Snooty Customer Service


I visited my local Boots at Copper Beech Road Nuneaton to collect a prescription my GP had sent over more than four hours earlier. The sales assistant I spoke to was noticeably unfriendly and ‘snooty’ implying I might need to return the next day despite it being a simple pre-packaged antibiotic. When I explained it was urgent, she offered no understanding or reassurance. A disappointing level of customer service.

Beware - Huge Refund Reductions

I wanted to return and receive a refund for two items only to find that the refund amount was about a third less than the actual purchase price. Shoes costing £12 gave a refund of £7. A jacket for £26 only gives a refund of £17. It seems that shipping costs are deducted. However this is not advised at the point of purchasing. This lack of transparency misleads customers. I will not buy anything from Tik Tok shop again. Customer service is not helpful, only a virtual assistant who send the same nonsense to everyone.

Misleading Marketing Ploys

The promotion of Free Gifts is extremely misleading. I was told I was eligible for 2 free gifts and provided with gifts I could choose. As I was selecting these, boxes appeared to select 2 more free gifts. I did this. It then showed what the 4 Gifts were worth-mine were in the region of £60. However-and this is where the CON starts - I was then told that to receive Free Gifts I had to place a minimum order of £15. Again I was shown items that I could choose from. I went ahead to select these - MISLED into thinking that at Checkout on paying for these, I would be sent the 4 Free Gifts. This is where the CON continues - only 1 of the 4 free gifts was going to be sent with my order, which happened to be the cheapest one. A separate date was put under each of the other 3 ‘FREE’ gifts, starting with tomorrow and the following 2 days when I had to claim them, and for each there would be a minimum £15 minimum spend. Therefore I would only receive the Free Gifts if I spent a minimum of £60.
Another Con is when you’re told you’re eligible for Coupons-you have to go through the con process of cracking open eggs to reveal how many coupons. This is very Misleading. I assumed I would get the amount off any order but - this is where the Con continues - you only get drip-fed discount in £5 amounts. Also coupons are not applied to items in your basket but you have to select from other random items shown. A very frustrating experience and I won’t be drawn into the whole fiasco again!

Extremely Long Wait Time

I experienced an extremely long waiting time for assistance, of over 5 hours. I couldn’t start my car. I found calling for frustrating. You have to go online. It was difficult to complete the request form because the system changed the postcode I put down to a different one. Finally I was given a call out slot for 3-5 hours. My request was made approx. 4.15 and assistance arrived at 9.30pm when it was dark. I had been stranded alone and battery on my phone was very low. I had to call a friend to collect me and take me home to recharge phone. I had driven many miles earlier through country lanes and fortunately my car didn’t break down there otherwise this situation would have been so much worse. The driver/mechanic was friendly and efficient. However, he tried to hard sell a new battery at an excessively high cost.

Beware Offers of Coupons a Con

Constantly bombarded with pop up ads. I spent ages today choosing’Free Gifts’. I then discovered that I had to purchase items to receive the Free Gifts. I ended up buying stuff I didn’t really want or need. I then discovered I could only ‘Grab’ one free gift out of the 8. You can only grab one free gift per day. When I went back on the App there is no sign that my first free gift has been dispatched. Also, there is no sign of the other 7 gifts I am apparently eligible for. Also constantly bombarded with Hundreds of pounds off in Coupons. You have to go through the gimmick of picking golden eggs. However, the coupons are for £10 off if you purchase something over £100. Worse, the coupons are only valid for 3 days! Again the offer is just a Con to make people buy more stuff they don’t want or need. They are not genuine offers or discounts. Avoid.

Misleading on Delivery Date

I selected a delivery date which was available. However, without any notification from this company, the flowers were not delivered until the following day.

If the date I selected was not available I would not have ordered the flowers. It was very important that the message and flowers were received on my sister’s birthday. As it happened, she assumed all day that I had not sent her anything, as I only discovered in the evening that they weren’t delivered.

I complained to customer service to find their response was very cold and uncaring. They basically informed me that I should have read the T&C’s.

Poor customer service

I was shocked by the poor customer service I received from Prestige Flowers. I was ordering flowers and, at the checkout, whilst entering a voucher discount code, the order went through. Hence the full price was charged. I immediately contacted customer service to explain and requested a refund for the £5 discount.
In a very cold, uncaring response they refused a refund. After I complained about this decision, and argued they must have a fault with their check out procedure, they still refused a refund but instead offered me a voucher for future purchases.
I am appalled by this customer service to a loyal customer. I had ordered a larger bouquet on the basis of having a discount. I certainly will not be ordering any more flowers from Prestige Flowers. (The medium size bunch delivered was ‘small’ filled out with a lot of unattractive leaves.)

Sleepless Nights

I ordered a bed and did not receive confirmation of order or estimated delivery date. The only confirmation I received was from Klarna that my first payment had been made.
After a few days I emailed customer service to cancel the order and requested a refund.
Customer service responded by asking the reason, to which I replied I no longer required the item.
I have sent further emails to customer service requesting confirmation that my order has been cancelled and that a refund is being processed.
However, I still have not received this confirmation.
Communication and customer service of Perfect Sleep is very poor and frustrating. Enough to give you sleepless nights!

Despicable Service

Scanlans are an extremely unprofessional, incompetent company whose service as property managers is not even worthy of 1 star.

I have lived in my apartment for just over two years and from the outset complained about the appalling level of service provided and the ongoing breaches of the Lease.

Every aspect of the communal areas, both interior and exterior, is neglected and fallen into a despicable state of disrepair.

In the two years the service charge has increased by over 30% to almost £140 monthly with nothing, or very little repair or maintenance, being done.

The carpet, which is almost 20 years old, has extensive black staining on every stair and on landing and the metal stair strips are black with rust; the walls are covered with black marks, chips and scuffs; the wood work around doors is rotten with all paint totally worn off; the car park is covered in debris and moss; there are no shrubs in borders and bark is in many areas very thin or non existent; the patio is covered in debris with weeds along borders and dirty slabs that are never swept or cleaned; the driveway is filthy, covered with a black stain; the doors to meter boxes have completely fallen off; windows are dirty and not cleaned all year. I could go on …

In response to my complaints Scanlans continually make assurances that they are going to review any maintenance or repairs to be actioned, or mostly deny that there is a need for any improvements, arguing that the severely neglected areas are ‘acceptable’.

It is like banging your head against a brick wall trying to communicate with such an indifferent company whilst being subjected to living in slum conditions.

If I had known what Scanlans were like I would never have purchased a property allegedly ‘managed’ by them and would advise anyone to avoid this company at all costs. The experience has been highly stressful and my only desire is to sell up and move out.

Their behaviour, ineptness and lack of accountability is nothing short of criminal.

Poor customer service

My card was not delivered on the day stated. I paid extra for faster and tracked delivery. I tracked delivery which was not updated for over 24 hours. I tried to contact Moonpig customer service but couldn’t find a telephone number. The only option seemed to be a live chat. This was useless. One consultant said that an advisor would contact me and left chat. And immediately another joined chat and asked what my query or issue was. The problem is that card has missed recipient’s birthday. If I had known I would have delivered a card by hand. I won’t trust Moonpig again. Very poor customer service.

Complete Closure of Spa

Complete Closure of Spa - A Main Facility

It seems extremely unfair that Nuffield Gyms have completely closed their Spa/Jacuzzi facility due to increased energy costs.

They could have at least closed them partially.

This was a main facility I had enjoyed.

Also in my experience the temperature of pool and changing areas is cold.

Unreliable, Slow and Expensive Service!

Extremely disappointed with very unreliable service.
I posted two birthday cards first class on Friday trusting they would arrive the following day, as used to be the case, or definitely by Monday. One was for birthday on Saturday other for Monday.
On Monday neither had been delivered.
It would have been quicker to walk to the recipients addresses.
Also price of postage ludicrously high!

Worst customer service ever!!!

Amazon customer service is Appalling! I needed to return two damaged items and went through the returns process online. The courier arrived on 3 occasions to collect them. Each time with a car when, as items are heavy and bulky, a van is needed. After each failed attempt I have contacted customer service by live chat and telephone. Further collections were supposedly arranged with Hermes who didn’t turn up even after I waited in on days for them. At this point I had contacted them at least 8 times. The whole experience was utterly frustrating. On 2 occasions the call was disconnected. Eventually Amazon customer service told me I have to arrange my own courier and they will refund. However, I tried again and, after explaining all the details again, this assistant said she went through to the large items department and had arranged the collection for the following Tuesday. Again a courier didn’t turn up. I tried to contact Hermes direct. They only provide digital chat. I inputted the parcels tracking number and waited about a week for a digital response which said they couldn’t locate the parcel. I then went online to arrange my own courier. The cheapest courier costs £126 yet the item cost £90. I contacted Amazon again to check they would refund this large amount. He said yes. But as so many CS advisers have told me different things I don’t trust anything they say. I am now left with two large and heavy items unlike want or can afford to fork out £126 for their return. It definitely is the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced and I will not buy anything through them again.

Misleading customers with incorrect delivery information t

I am extremely disappointed by my first experience using this company as they provide totally misleading and inaccurate information with regards to delivery.
I ordered a bouquet of flowers and selected a date for delivery. My order was immediately confirmed by email with this date of delivery stated.
However I then received a further email on the confirmed delivery date that it was going to be delivered the following day.
If I had known that the flowers would not be delivered on the day selected I would certainly not ordered them as they were for a birthday.
When I complained to this company they said that their website T&Cs advises that orders placed over a weekend would not be delivered on Monday which was the day given as available to select as well as the day stated in an order confirmation.

It is in my opinion a very unprofessional business to mislead a customer into ordering from them.

I certainly will not use the company again.
