Our flat recently had an issue with our washing machine - the door would not open. We tried everything online, but it still would not open, so we submitted a 'report an issue' form on DJ Alexander's website. We submitted it at roughly 330pm, and by 4 pm, Ramya Peela, the Property Relationship Manager, had already responded. She provided us with videos of things to try, to avoid having to call a contractor out (especially with it being the bank holiday the next day). However, we were still unable to fix the problem, so she put us in contact with a contractor to arrange a fix for the next day. Thanks very much for your efficient help. It really saved the day (my clothes that were stuck in the washing machine were needed for 2 days after for a dance show). :)

This company look after the flat I have a can honestly say that Gill who has been assisting me with getting a tenant and working through a tough period has gone above and beyond . An excellent service that I cannot fault.

The scheduled inspection of 17 Cumberland Street, EH3 6RT was carried out on Thursday 2nd April 2026 by Robin Henderson. Robin was polite and amenable. The inspection was completed quickly and efficiently.

I am surprised by the many positive reviews. I am a landlord of a neighbouring flat of one managed by DJ Alexander. They have regularly been in arrears with stair cleaning payments, over a period of years - which I pay on their clients' behalf. It is surprising how negligent a large organisation and well-known brand can be and still consider acceptable. I would not recommend on the basis on this consistent poor service.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the inspector’s (Robin Henderson)professionalism and kindness during the visit today.

From the very beginning, he was respectful and considerate of my background, politely asking whether he should remove his shoes before entering. I truly appreciated this thoughtfulness, and he was very willing to follow my request.

He also kindly asked for permission before taking any photographs, which made me feel comfortable and respected. Throughout the inspection, he conducted his work carefully and accompanied me in a calm and courteous manner, explaining things clearly and taking photos step by step.

During the inspection, he kindly checked if there were any issues or services needed and took the time to listen attentively. I felt truly respected and appreciated his thoughtful and caring approach.

His respectful attitude and professionalism left a very positive impression. I am grateful for such considerate service and wish him all the very best in his work.

DJ Alexander have been absolutely incredible over the past couple of years while managing my property.

I couldn’t recommend them highly enough as a property management company. Laurie Smith, the Senior Property Manager, is consistently proactive, communicates clearly, and is always has a solution to any issues. The professionalism and attention to detail have given me complete peace of mind.

HORRIBLE SERVICEEEE, NO COMUNICATION!!
Wanted a viewing on one of the properties, First the time was changed twice, then when i arrived at the property 2 mins early no one was there. buzzed in the tenants were in and said the agent wasn't there. I called the agency and they were not able to contact the agent and gave me the agents number, who I called and texted but there was no reply , then after waiting outside 40 mins I got a message from the agent saying they were there but had to leave!! complete lies... waste of time

End of tenancy process was made very smooth by Kelsey. She took the time to explain things clearly and helped relieve some of the stress/confusion of moving.

I came back to DJ Alexander to manage the letting of my flat and they were professional, very responsive and found me tenants! As I am not based in the area, relying on their initiative and follow-up was crucial. Deirdre Henderson especially provided excellent support but the team as a whole was very helpful. 5 stars!

Very helpfui process so far in the flat hunt, specifically Cameron Lindsay was available to assist us and answer the questions we had quickly and effectively. Also Jennifer Gorrie was helpful in showing us around the property initially, whilst also advising how else she could assist us.
