What an awful company
What an awful company. We bought a belling cooker thinking they had a good reputation and it was the worst decision I've ever made.
Below is the quick version of events.
We'd only had it a few days and when we moved it into position something white white fell out the bottom. My wife thought it must be packaging so she picked it up. I turned out it was actually some of the insulation from around the oven that had fallen out.
I contacted Belling and they agreed to send an engineer. The engineer arrived, took a photo of the stuff that had come out and the label on the cooker, tested the electrics in our house? and left.
The next week I had heard nothing so called again and was told that the job was chargeable as we had pulled the insulation out ourselves.
I didn't agree with this but we needed it fixed so I paid them £215 for an engineer to come out on 12th December, with the insulation and fix the cooker. I should also point out that even though they send their guy out the repair is only guaranteed for 90 days.
On 12th December the engineer did not turn up at the allotted time so I called him. He told me he was just coming out to take a photo and do a report, not repair the cooker.
I called Belling to ask why he wasn't going to fix it, they had no idea so I asked for a refund so I could get someone else in to do the job and was told I if I cancelled then I wouldn't get a refund and if they couldn't fix it then I would only get a partial refund. non of this was mentioned when I booked the call?
A few minutes later the engineer called to say he would not be coming anyway as his boss had cancelled the call.
Eventually they refunded my £215 but then told me they can't get the part so they can't fix it .
Its clear to me that this a manufacturing fault but belling have washed they hands of it.
I've tried to get someone else to fix it but no-one is interested as they can't get the insulation so here we are, well over a £1000 spend and a cooker that we can't use.
Totally unreliable and thieves

He said that we would return with the correct spares and that there was no charge for this call. They then confirmed and subsequently cancelled several time slots to make the repairs, before telling us that they couldn't source the spares (despite us telling them upfront exactly what was wrong) and then only made a £75 refund!!

my name is stephen i am complaining about stoves ovens we got it replaced last week for the 3rd time and it is out of level the door does not shut properly and the shelves have only lasted one week aand the chrome ois comming off them and stoves you cant talk to them any more i have had 2 engineers down to it and they have said they are not best of quallity in other words they are not very good quallity and according to trading standards it is supposed to last 5 years the way this oven is going on it will not last a year it is absolute rubbish and stoves customer services are just passing the book all the time to pacifica to deal with so do not buy stoves as if any thing goes wrong they are not intrested totally bad company and bad products
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. 3 weeks into reporting faulty Talia electric fire, with various follow up calls and emails, still nobody has actually come back to arrange repair or replacement.

Engineer (Shane) arrived promptly and was professional, polite and friendly throughout. We told him of a couple of other issues and he checked and fixed those as well. First class!!!!
Shockingly bad
Shockingly bad. Engineer came to fix the igniters on my range cooker and actually damaged the whole oven. He clearly had no idea what he was doing and the repair he did actually caused a spark in the oven which melted the mains supply. GDHA offered me a refund of £50 of the £209 I had to pay up front. Apparently the balance of what I paid was to cover the engineers time - so I effectively paid £157 for their engineer to blow up my oven. Never use them again!

I had a GDHA engineer out to fix my Stoves cooker yesterday and I was so impressed! The engineer was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. He sorted the problems quickly, gave me advice & tips going forward and left me feeling happy & confident with my appliance. Definitely money well spent and a 5* rating!

Omg DO NOT BUY ANYTHING made by or manufactured by this company, iv had my cooker under 12 weeks and I paid 1000 for it so expected it to work for longer . Spoke to a customer service operator who was extremely unhelpful and a complete idiot ( he definitely shouldnât be in customer service) anyway Iv been told even though this will probably keep happening Iâm not entitled to a replacement and basically Iv been robbbed . Ordered an inner glass for top oven on Wednesday 29th and it was delivered on Thursday 30th. Fantastic service, thank you to the department who took my order and Fedex who delivered so quickly. If I could give 11 out of 10, I would.

Has to wait nearly 4 weeks to get a repair on a brand cooker that has faults with it,

Total disgusted with this company, booked a repair to my cooker hood on 19th Jan 23, only to be told wire had fell through motor (Husband is an engineer and bearings have worn), no motor bought with engineer, 2nd visit 7th Feb 23, only to being rudely told that motor should have been delivered to my home address, but customer services advised me that the motor goes to a drop box for the engineer to pick up. And low and behold next appointment 28th Feb 23 is a no show, and lies to his head office that he has left a message on my phone saying that the motor he received was damaged. I made the first phone call to domestic and general on the 9th of Jan 23. And as you can imagine total shocked with this company and currently in the process of taking this way further. So be warned totally and utterly useless.

I own a British made Belling LPG cooker and have used it daily for approx 6 years. It is excellent and I love it. I have recently ordered 3 replacement temperature dials (I ignored cleaning instructions). The replacements arrived within 2 days and so I am delighted with this company.
Zero customer service
I bought a Dimplex Opimyst fire and tried to register the guarantee and the guy in the âIndianâ call centre had no interest in the guarantee at all and just wanted to sell extended cover and never gave me my ref no for the guarantee. When I complained to Dimplex through their web form I received an auto reply telling me it would take up to 5 days to respond then absolutely nothing!
Impressed with aervice
The oven knob on my stoves range cooker had given up the ghost. Down side, took 40 minutes to get through by phone. Upside, ordered a full set of controls for the cooker at a vastly reduced price when compared with spares companies on line. Delivered less than 24 hours later. Very pleased with the service.
Horrible company
Horrible company. Literally refused to send an engineer after waiting more than 2 weeks without a cooker. They never came to my house but had already ordered parts for my cooker. Which I believe is fraudulent. The Lady on the phone spoke to me so rudely, was very unprofessional, when I asked what can I do to resolve the parking permit problem, the engineer who was parked outside, said nothing and he is refusing to do the job.

Called as soon as lines opened. Waited 27 minutes on hold. No answer.
Fridge repaired previously and fault arose again within a day. Can't get in touch with them. Useless. Avoid domestic and general and avoid gdha.

In a word atrocious as far as I'm concerned they have stolen £80 of our money they sent us the wrong glass for a Britannia cooker to start with even though we told them time and time again to make sure they sent the correct one it was still wrong, then we had to reorder, and repay and then they would reimburse us. After numerous phone calls, texts, and promises none of our money has turned up. The next step will be to take them to county court. Do not use this untrustworthy cowboy company

We have rang customer service to be told he has closed the ticket and will need to open a new repair.
